BBMap: Short read aligner for DNA and RNA-seq data. Capable of handling arbitrarily large genomes with millions of scaffolds. Handles Illumina, PacBio, 454, and other reads; very high sensitivity and tolerant of errors and numerous large indels. Very fast. BBNorm: Kmer-based error-correction and normalization tool. Dedupe: Simplifies assemblies by removing duplicate or contained subsequences that share a target percent identity. Reformat: Reformats reads between fasta/fastq/scarf/fasta+qual/sam, interleaved/paired, and ASCII-33/64, at over 500 MB/s. BBDuk: Filters, trims, or masks reads with kmer matches to an artifact/contaminant file. ...and more!

OpenHospital - Hospital Information System
This application is the first of a set of software products that ISF* has developed to support the management and the activities of the St. Luke Hospital in Angal (Uganda). After that mission, the St. Luke Hospital has become only the first one of a long list of hospitals that found this software useful. All the work was realized as an open-source project using only open-source development software. * Informatici Senza Frontiere

gretl is a cross-platform software package for econometric analysis, written in the C programming language.
Intelligent formulas: Numeric and symbolic calculations in Openoffice Writer. The iMath extension to Libreoffice and OpenOffice enables numeric and symbolic calculations inside a Writer document. If your OS can install .deb packages, have a look at my PPA http://launchpad.net/~jrheinlaender/+archive/ppa
G3D is a commercial-grade C++ 3D engine. It is used in commercial games, research papers, military simulators, and university courses. G3D supports real-time rendering, off-line rendering like ray tracing, and general purpose computation on GPUs. As of January 16, 2018, SourceForge is again the home of the active repository for G3D.
A web-based minimisation service
Based on MinimPy (http://sourceforge.net/projects/minimpy/), QMinim is a web-based minimization application, for allocation of subject to different arms of a clinical trial. It is an alternative to randomization, with the advantage of balancing arms of trial with respect to preselected prognostic factors. All aspects of minimization procedure including treatments, factors, minimization protocole, and including a preload can be customized using QMinim.

UniTime is a comprehensive educational scheduling system that supports developing course and exam timetables, managing changes to these timetables, sharing rooms with other events, and scheduling students to individual classes. It is a distributed system that allows multiple university and departmental schedule managers to coordinate efforts to build and modify a schedule that meets their diverse organizational needs while allowing for minimization of student course conflicts. It can be used alone to create and maintain a school's schedule of classes and/or exams, or interfaced with an existing student information system.
The Pure Data (short Pd) project on SourceForge unifies the extensions (or externals) written for the Pure Data Graphical Computer Music System written by Miller Puckette with contributions from many others.

Fast charting XY-charts from txt/xls/...
Build Your own Perl RegEx to make correct filter-patterns for string parsing (that filters extract X and Y -values from raw data). Otherwise you can request suitable for your data filter-template here (or for Russians on social-page http://vk.com/id233401051, firstname.lastname@example.org). RegEx short docs also included in program. Some part of help: "Was designed for suitable plotting charts from text files or from programs text-windows, that have not charts themselves; To plot from static file - just drag and drop .txt, .xls or else file into Graph Capture (another way described in plugin section)." File, that can be opened by Delphi function "System.SysUtils.FileOpen" can be plotted or modifyed likewise. So potentially, 3D chart can represent .obj model from 3ds max, for example. Possible, it will be realized in future releases (with 3D-crossplatform charting). Win 32/64 XP/7/8. Win 8.1/10 - in progress
A python based control system
Sardana is the control program initially developed at ALBA. Our mission statement: Produce a modular, high performance, robust, and generic user environment for control applications in large and small installations. Make Sardana the generic user environment distributed in the Tango project and the standard basis of collaborations in control. The origin of the Sardana name comes from a Catalan dance to honor the region where the ALBA synchrotron is build. Sardana is entirely built over Python, Qt and Tango. If you like the tools you will love Sardana.
A High-level Utility Package for FMI-based Software Development
The Functional Mock-up Interface (FMI) specification intentionally provides only the most essential and fundamental functionalities in the form of a C interface. On the one hand, this increases flexibility in use and portability to virtually any platform. On the other hand, such a low-level approach implies several prerequisites a simulation tool has to fulfill in order to be able to utilize such an FMI component. The FMI++ library addresses this problem for models and tools with interfaces according to the FMI specification by providing high-level functionalities, which ease the handling and manipulation of such models and tools. Furthermore, the FMI++ library provides utilities to implement FMI-compliant interfaces for a large class of simulation tools. The FMI++ library intends to bridge the gap between the basic FMI specifications and the typical requirements of simulation tools. It is distributed using a BSD-like license.
