Create software without writing a single line of code
PWCT is not a Wizard for creating your application in 1 2 3 steps. PWCT is a general-purpose visual programming language designed for novice and expert programmers. A novice programmer can use PWCT to learn programming concepts like Data Structures, Control Structures and Programming Paradigms. An expert programmer can use PWCT to create any large and complex software. Using PWCT we developed a textual programming language Compiler and Virtual Machine without writing a single line of code where the programming process done using the PWCT visual components. This language called Supernova and it's free-open source. Many database, Multi-Media, Network, AI, Simulation & Math applications are developed using PWCT You can see/edit the generated source code. PWCT support Harbour, Supernova, C, Python, & C#.NET and you can extend PWCT to support code generation in any text based programming language. PWCT comes with many samples, tutorials and movies.

Fast C++ matrix library with easy to use functions and syntax, deliberately similar to Matlab. Uses template meta-programming techniques. Also provides efficient wrappers for LAPACK, BLAS and ATLAS libraries, including high-performance versions such as OpenBLAS and Intel MKL. Useful for machine learning, pattern recognition, signal processing, bioinformatics, statistics, finance, etc. For more details, see http://arma.sourceforge.net
Ngspice project aims to improve the spice3f5 circuit simulator.
APBS is a software package for the numerical solution of the Poisson-Boltzmann equation, a popular continuum model for describing electrostatic interactions between molecular solutes over a wide range of length scales. <http://www.poissonboltzmann.org/>. An easy-to-use, efficient, portable C++ library for image processing.
The CImg Library provides a minimal set of C++ classes that can be used to perform common operations on generic 2D/3D images. It is simple-to-use, efficient, and portable. It's a really pleasant toolkit for developing image processing stuffs in C++.
AstroTortilla is a wrapper around common astrophotography tools intended to automate basic tasks such as polar alignment and goto correction.
Easy way to use the 1-wire sensors like temperature, voltage and more.
OWFS -- 1-Wire file system. Use the Dallas 1-Wire and iButton chips with standard filesystem commands. Create temperature loggers. Monitor everything. OWHTTPD -- same system, only used as a light weight web server. OWFS is also ported to embedded routers, Mac OSX and Windows. Basically you can use these inexpensive little sensors and other chips with very simple wiring to sense and control the physical environment. The interface is very flexible -- everything from a web browser, to read and writing directly to the chip's "file" to integrating with your programs -- even over the internet. There is a growing number of 1-wire sensors: temperature, voltage, humidity, light, ultraviolet, pressure, thermisters, thermocouples, programmable microcontrollers, relays, lights, LCD panels, etc.
a parametric 3D CAD modeler
WARNING: FreeCAD has moved! FreeCAD code and release files are now hosted on github at https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD Only older files and code are available here. FreeCAD is a general purpose feature-based, parametric 3D modeler for CAD, MCAD, CAx, CAE and PLM, aimed directly at mechanical engineering and product design but also fits a wider range of uses in engineering, such as architecture or other engineering specialties. It is 100% Open Source and extremely modular, allowing for very advanced extension and customization. FreeCAD is based on OpenCasCade, a powerful geometry kernel, features an Open Inventor-compliant 3D scene representation model provided by the Coin 3D library, and a broad Python API. The interface is built with Qt. FreeCAD runs exactly the same way on Windows, Mac OSX and Linux platforms.
Earth orbits and coverage display in 3D on your laptop.
SaVi - simulate Iridium, Globalstar, O3b, Sirius Radio, GPS, Galileo and other satellite constellations, modify them, or design your own. Uses Tcl/Tk and Unix libraries; 3D viewing option requires Geomview running on X Window.
