Probabilistic natural mapping for gene based association study.
PALM is a software that conducts gene-based association analysis. PALM exploits Hidden Markov Models (HMM) to capture the inner genomic structures. Then, unique gene features (termed "palm prints") are extracted for each gene set by calculating the natural gradient. Then palm-prints are tested with chi-square significance test.
This project will be moving to GitHub. If you want to contribute or get the latest source go to: https://github.com/jramshur/HRVAS HRVAS is a heart rate variability (HRV) analysis tool developed using MATLAB. HRVAS can detrend and filter IBI and can perform time domain, frequency domain, time-frequency, Poincare', and nonlinear HRV analysis. If you use this application or modify this application for your research, please reference the thesis entitled "DESIGN, EVALUATION, AND APPLICAION OF HEART RATE VARIABILITY ANALYSIS SOFTWARE (HRVAS)". Weld Optimization for Automatic Welding
Science based weld software to develop optimal automatic weld procedures. SmartWeld is a PC based tool for designers, engineers, and technicians to aid in selecting, optimizing, and configuring automated welding processes.
MPT is a toolbox that supplies cross-platform libraries for real-time perception primitives, including face detection, eye detection, blink detection, and color tracking.
Random Tree Generator for MatLab
RandTree is a MatLab based tree simulator program where the algorithm is based on Honda's model. We have used probabilistic generation of branches in order to simulate visually realistic tree structures. This program is designed to generate branching structures with bifurcation branching pattern (sympodial branching). By changing the probabilities and branching angles, you can generate different shapes of trees.
PopED (Population Experimental Design) is a software tool for computing optimal experimental designs. The software has been developed with an emphasis on drug trials based on population models (non-linear mixed effects models).
Octave Eclipse GUI
Octave development environment built upon Eclipse's Dynamic Languages Toolkit (http://www.eclipse.org/dltk/). Distributed as an Update site for Eclipse 3.7 Indigo and Indigo-based package for several platforms. Supports search, autocompletion, launching scripts, interactive console, debug and integrated plotting on Octave versions 3.2.x, 3.4.x and 3.6.x. The current goal is to make it running out-of-box on multiple platforms. Currently only Linux and Windows are supported. Mac support is possible. The project needs a maintainer for Mac version, since I don't have Mac to build Octclipse and test it on this platform. Also, it is worth to support Eclipse 4.0 Juno with DLTK 4.
ExpSuite is a software framework for applications to perform psychoacoustical experiments. ExpSuite allows acoustic and electric stimulation for normal hearing and cochlear implant listeners, respectively.
Matlab tool for plotting multi-channel biomedical signals. It is designed for researchers on both engineering and medicine who have to collaborate to visualize and analyze signals. It is the ideal tool to plot electroencephalogram (EEG), Foetal Heart Rate (FHR) and many other signals with the standard tools used in clinical routine.
Content-based Image Retrieval (CBIR) consists of retrieving visually similar images to a given query image from a database of images. It is done by comparing selected visual features such as color, texture and shape from the image database.

NURBS-based elastic and limit analysis of masonry arches in MATLAB
ArchNURBS is a MATLAB tool for the analysis of planar curved structures, with a particular attention to masonry arches. As in CAD softwares, the geometry of the model is defined by a NURBS representation of the structure. Indeed, the user can upload geometries imported from a CAD environment. Based on such a representation, ArchNURBS performs the elastic isogeometric finite element analysis and the collapse limit analysis of the structure. It is possible to include in the analysis the presence of Fiber-Reinforced Polymers (FRP) extrados and intrados strips. A comprehensive descritpion of ArchNURBS is given in "ArchNURBS: NURBS-Based Tool for the Structural Safety Assessment of Masonry Arches in MATLAB", A. Chiozzi, M. Malagu', A. Tralli and A.Cazzani, J. Comput. Civil Eng., 2015. (http://ascelibrary.org/doi/abs/10.1061/%28ASCE%29CP.1943-5487.0000481) ArchNURBS has been developed thanks to a collaboration between the University of Ferrara (Italy) and the University of Cagliar
