RNA editing detection by NGS data
REDItools are python scripts developed with the aim to study RNA editing at genomic scale by next generation sequencing data. RNA editing is a post-transcriptional phenomenon involving the insertion/deletion or substitution of specific bases in precise RNA localizations. In human, RNA editing occurs by deamination of cytosine to uridine (C-to-U) or mostly by the adenosine to inosine (A-to-I) conversion through ADAR enzymes. A-to-I substitutions may have profound functional consequences and have been linked to a variety of human diseases including neurological and neurodegenerative disorders or cancer. Next generation sequencing technologies offer the unique opportunity to investigate in depth RNA editing even though no dedicated software has been released up to now. REDItools are simple python scripts conceived to facilitate the investigation of RNA editing at large-scale and devoted to research groups that would to explore such phenomenon in own data.

T3000 Bacnet Building Automation System, graphical front end for bldgs
This is our T3000 Building Automation front end, a mature project for managing the air conditioning, lighting, access control and other automation functions of commercial buildings. The application runs on a Windows PC and allows the building operator to manage the building as a complete system. There is a small but growing team of developers working on the application full time. The system works mainly with Temco Controls products but integrators, controls contractors and other manufacturers are encouraged to join in to add their own devices and features. Communication to the various systems is over Ethernet, wifi, RS485, RS232, zigbee and GSM network. The protocols supported so far are Modbus RTU, Bacnet IP & MSTP.

CSBB is a command line based bioinformatics suite to analyze biological data acquired through varied avenues of biological experiments. CSBB is implemented in Perl, while it also leverages the use of R, java and ruby in background for specific modules. Major focus of CSBB is to allow users from biology and bioinformatics community, to get benefited by performing down-stream analysis tasks while eliminating the need to write programming code. CSBB is currently available on Linux, UNIX and Windows platforms. Currently CSBB provides 17 modules focused on analytical tasks like normalization, visualization, statistics, RNA-SEQ etc.
AVPython embeds the Python programming language within ArcView GIS 3.x. This project will also encompass efforts to build a similar bridge between Python and ArcObjects. An integrated, redistributable Python / PyWin32 setup wizard is also published here.

C++ header-only library that simulates GLSL math
GLSLmath provides C++ math operations as defined by GLSL. For example, it provides methods to easily setup viewing transformations and perspective projections. GLSLmath has been inspired by the glm and slmath libraries, which aim to mimic GLSL, but in contrast to those GLSLmath does not focus on a complete conforming implementation of GLSL. It rather aims to provide a convenient single header file that implements the most commonly used subset of GLSL so that it is easy to use for rapid prototyping and GLSL teaching purposes. It is used at the Georg-Simon Ohm University of Applied Sciences in Nuremberg for teaching computer graphics courses.

CNViewer shows CNV and LOH data in affected and unaffected individuals
CNViewer is designed to allow the visual comparison of copy number (CN state) and loss of heterozygosity (LOH) data from Affymetrix SNP 6.0 microarrays between affected and unaffected members of a pedigree. The program aims to allow the identification of regions where the values of either the CN state or the LOH scores are the same in all the affected individuals, but none of the unaffected individuals have the same value. As well as visualising the CN state and LOH data, the program will also display Log(2) ratio, smooth signal and allele difference values that may also be obtained from the Affymetrix SNP 6.0 array (details on how to export the data are here). CN state, Log(2) ratio and the smooth signal data may be derived from either the SNP or CNV probes on the SNP microarray chip, where as the LOH and allele difference values are derived solely from the SNP probes.

PC/PocketPC tool to get tracklogs from the WBT-201 GPS logger
Features: get201 can download tracklogs from the Wintec WBT-201 GPS logger and store them in .gpx format. The .gpx files are space optimized, they contain only the data received from the logger. The original reason to create get201 was that the TMXTool provided by Wintec often failed with timeouts when reading out log data on the Pocket PC via Bluetooth. get201 comes in 2 flavors with the same screen layout: A PC version running on Windows XP or later and a PocketPC version running on devices with Microsoft Windows Mobile 2003 or later. In addition the current GPS position and status can be displayed. Restrictions: The log file directory is hardcoded. On Pocket PC the preferred directory is the SD Card. On PC, always the current directory is used. It is not possible to change the log settings with get201. Please use the TMXTool (PocketPC) or TimeMachineX (PC) for this.
