ANPR for National Borders Systems
The idea is to enhance and develop the national border crossing process by the integration of automated vehicle recognition while crossing country borders. i'm going to use Automatic number plate recognition (ANPR): a system that recognizes the numbers of the vehicle plates by using OCR (optical character recognition) technology and Infrared cameras. This is going to be achieved by taking the license plate image from the camera and processing it using the software I’m going to develop together with an open source OCR system. The output is going to be a text version of the plate number. Then it is going to retrieve that number from a database and get the information of the vehicle owner. Note: please note that you need emgucv installed. you also need to move the project files to: C:\Emgu\emgucv-windows-x86XXX\Emgu.CV.Example\

A MATLAB toolbox for relating neural signals to continuous stimuli
mTRF Toolbox is a MATLAB toolbox that permits the fast computation of the linear stimulus-response mapping of any sensory system in the forward or backward direction. It is suitable for analysing EEG, MEG, ECoG and EMG data. The forward model, or temporal response function (TRF), can be interpreted using conventional analysis techniques such as time-frequency and source analysis. The TRF can also be used to predict future responses of the system given a new stimulus signal. Similarly, the backward model can be used to reconstruct spectrotemporal stimulus information given new response data. mTRF Toolbox facilitates the use of continuous stimuli in electrophysiological studies as opposed to time-locked averaging techniques which require discrete stimuli. This enables examination of how neural systems process more natural and ecologically valid stimuli such as speech, music, motion and contrast. THE NEW, 11/7/2013 VERSION OF MOLCRUNCH IS HERE Molcrunch is an atomic or molecular electronic properties computational package. It provides Gaussian and Slater orbital support for SCF, MCSCF, and orthogonal or nonorthogonal orbital CI calculations. Its most sophisticated feature is a configuration manipulation CI package that provides symmetry filtering, orbital occupation selection, and a choice of many other wave function and/or basis characteristics. The symmetry filtering includes the ability to deal directly with certain non-Abelian groups as well as all Abelian groups. Linear systems can be treated exactly within the full continuous D-infinity-h or C-infinity-v groups. The package is completely modular, allowing control over ordering of most steps within the limitations imposed by the theory. Flow is controled completely by tcsh shell scripts, many of which are provided in the package. Users may devise their own scripts, of course.
