A plugin for the quantitative analysis of Immunohistochemistry samples
Identification and scoring of cancer markers by Immunohistochemistry has been shown to be of value in determining the aggressiveness of specific cancers, as well as in predicting patient outcome for many cancer types. Despite its routine clinical use, a problem with the standard scoring method is the inherent subjectivity and variability of purely visual inspection. Molecular Dynamics Cell Construction
This is a collection of software modifications created to integrate NanoEngineer-1, PACKMOL and MSI2LMP for the purpose of easily creating molecular dynamics cells. NanoEngineer-1 is a molecular CAD software written by Nanorex and provides the user an easy way to create molecules, while the software modifications allow the user to type atoms using multiple force fields. PACKMOL can generate a random collection of molecules using the molecule templates from NanoEngineer-1 thus providing the initial MD cell. Modifications to PACKMOL allow the atom type data to be passed through to the MSI2LMP software. MSI2LMP creates a LAMMPS input file based on class I or class II force fields. MSI2LMP was modified to use numerically coded force field data generated by NanoEngineer-1. Time-dependent simulation of open and closed quantum systems
WavePacket is a program package for numerical simulation of quantum-mechanical wavepacket dynamics for distinguishable particles. It can be used to solve one or more (i.e. coupled channels) time-independent or time-dependent (linear) Schrödinger and Liouville-von Neumann-equations. Optionally accounting for the interaction with external electric fields within the semiclassical dipole approximation, WavePacket can simulate modern experiments using ultrashort light pulses in photo-induced physics or chemistry. WavePacket is especially suitable for teaching of quantum mechanics as well as for research projects in physics, chemistry, and scientific computing. The present C++ version is an object-oriented rewrite of the existing Matlab version aiming to be more flexible. In particular, the goals are easy handling of open and closed systems and support for unusual setups.
Metabolomics Bioinformatics Tools
Our bioanalytical research exploits practical and efficient high-throughput technologies for the analyses of complex mixtures derived from living systems. This will facilitate the development of preventive, predictive and personalized medicine for specific diseases and will promote health and wellness. We use a number of high-throughput analytical platforms including multidimensional liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (MDLC-MS) for proteomics, and for metabolomics; liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS), and comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GCxGC/TOF-MS). Each type of analysis affords limited analyte coverage of molecules present in a patient sample and therefore provides only a partial molecular profile for an individual patient. These diverse analytical data must be integrated with advanced bioinformatics methods for accurate evaluation of health and detection of disease susceptibility.

Parallel simulators for Membrane Computing on the GPU
Membrane Computing is a new research area (within Natural Computing) that aims to provide computing devices abstracted from the functioning and structure of living cells. These devices are called P systems. The objective of this project (PMCGPU) is to bring together all the researchers working on the development of parallel simulators for P systems, specially those using the GPU (e.g. CUDA, OpenCL, etc). Other parallel platforms are also welcome (multicore and manycore, FPGAs, etc). This project has been initiated by the Research Group on Natural Computing (Department of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, University of Seville). PMCGPU was born inside the P-Lingua project, of the same research group. PMCGPU is a GNU project, so all the applications developed within it are released under the GPLv3 license. Encrypt Your Text documents with XOR encryption
This software provides an easy graphical way to encrypt your text documents from source code , text files ,scripts even jpeg files .It is a enhanced version of my earlier project https://sourceforge.net/p/xorencrypt which used win32 GUI . This is a demonstration of working of XOR encryption which was used by Germans in World War II (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lorenz_cipher) . Besides from XOR'ing the message with password after every encryption the key changes pseudorandomly. The password you provide is hashed ( SHA256 ) and saved into the encrypted file to check if the password provided is correct.This algorithm has limitations in general more the numbers of relative characters in the password to plaintext more secure will be the encryption. Search and download satellite images
RS Downloader offers access to satellite image data pools. Via web interface the user is able to search and download specified satellite images. This version is an alpha and while running stable, currently only retrieves products from NASAs LP DAAC data pool (see https://lpdaac.usgs.gov/data_access/data_pool). Further versions will include updated parsers and spatial selection UIs to access other available sources.

The Simple Medical Imaging Library Interface (SMILI), pronounced 'smilie', is an open-source, light-weight and easy-to-use medical imaging viewer and library for all major operating systems. The main sMILX application features for viewing n-D images, vector images, DICOMs, anonymizing, shape analysis and models/surfaces with easy drag and drop functions. It also features a number of standard processing algorithms for smoothing, thresholding, masking etc. images and models, both with graphical user interfaces and/or via the command-line.
