Fast FDTD solver with graphics card support. Optimized for nanoscale optics - scanning near field optical microscopy, rough surface scattering and solar cells. Uses CUDA environment for graphics card operation.
Arrowmatcher is a ballistics software for crossbow archers. It can calculate the speed, kinetic energy, trajectory, aiming solution and much more of an arrow (or bullet). It uses a simplified 6 degree of freedom model.
3D Special Relativity Simulator - This program demonstrates what everyday objects would look like at close to the speed of light.
2D Finite Element Analysis for Acoustics
Wavefront is a programme for simulating 2D acoustic systems, with a particular emphasis on determining wavefront shapes at the mouths of horns. It accepts CAD drawings in DXF format and produces animated displays of wave propagation as well as exporting various data as text files. It is GPL software and runns on Linux and Windows.
OpenRayTrace is an optical lens design software that performs ray tracing. It is built using python, wxPython, and PyOpenGL. It should run on any platform that python, wxPython and PyOpenGL run on.
IFEFFIT is a library and set of interactive programs for the analysis of x-ray absorption fine-structure (XAFS) data. IFEFFIT combines state-of-the-art analysis algorithms with graphical display of XAFS data, and general data manipulation. It can be
software for DFA method
DIANNA (Diffraction Analysis of Nanopowders) is a free software developed to simulate atomic models of structures from an ensemble of nanoparticles and to calculate their whole X-ray powder diffraction patterns and the radial distribution function. The main objects of investigation are the particles whose coherent scattering domains do not exceed several nm. DIANNA is based on the ab initio method using the Debye scattering equation. This method makes it possible to obtain information on the atomic structure, shape and size of nanoparticles. It can be applied also to non-periodic materials or coherently ordered structures. Artificial Intelligence, 3D Graphics and Physics Framework
A C++ framework and applications for experimenting with artificial intelligence, 3D graphics and simulated physics. It's primary focus is to provide a testbed for simulated robotics using Ogre 3D and the Open Dynamics Engine.
A collection of .h macros selected by #defines that support writing C or C++ programs that can be retargeted to Intel SSE, PowerPC, the IBM/Sony CBE, or scalar architectures under recompilation.
Iterate is an implementation of the Bravais-lattice-finding algorithm from: Andrews and Bernstein, Acta Cryst. (1988). A44, 1009-1018 Lattices and Reduced Cells as Points in 6-Space and Selection of Bravais Lattice Type by Projections.
A program to help physics students understand Kinematics and Dynamics. Writen in Python.
MesoRD is a stochastic and deterministic simulator of coupled chemical reactions and diffusions in space.
EarProfiler is a program to create a "hearing-profile" for the human ear. The Program plays a sound and the user click how good he can hear the Sound. The Program creates a Diagramoverview immediately. Speaker and Soundblastersupport choosable.
OpenGL viewer for Numerical Electromagnetics Code (NEC) output files. Reads .NOU files and displays them graphically along with near field electric and magnetic fields. If both E and H are present, the Poynting vector is also calculated and displayed
Demonstrates quantal two-slit Fresnel interference patterns.
InterferenceSimulator is a program demonstrating quantal two-slit Fresnel interference patterns with one, the other, or both slits open. A magnetic flux situated between the two slits allows demonstration of the Aharonov–Bohm effect. Simulations with short de Broglie wavelengths illustrate the classical limit of quantum mechanics. Because of the universality of wave phenomena, this program can also demonstrate the geometrical-optics limit of wave optics for small wavelengths.
