Carbon Fullerene and Capped Nanotube Generator
NanoCap is a generic application for the construction of low energy fullerene and capped nanotube structures. It provides an ideal tool to accompany the study of finite carbon molecules using computer simulation. The implementation involves a standalone application which includes a GUI and allows for dynamic visual inspection through 3D rendering. In addition, the NanoCap core libraries can be used in custom Python scripts that enabled the user to produce structures in bulk or to include the structure generation routines into pre-existing code.

Computation and Visualization environment
DataMelt (or "DMelt") is an environment for numeric computation, data analysis, computational statistics, and data visualization. This Java multiplatform program is integrated with a number of scripting languages: Jython (Python), Groovy, JRuby, BeanShell. DMelt can be used to plot functions and data in 2D and 3D, perform statistical tests, data mining, numeric computations, function minimization, linear algebra, solving systems of linear and differential equations. Linear, non-linear and symbolic regression are also available. Neural networks and various data-manipulation methods are integrated using powerful Java API. Elements of symbolic computations using Octave/Matlab scripting are supported.

Dynamics of quantum systems, controlled by external fields
WavePacket is a program package for numerical simulation of quantum-mechanical wavepacket dynamics for distinguishable particles. It can be used to solve one or more (i.e. coupled channels) time-independent or time-dependent (linear) Schrödinger and Liouville-von Neumann-equations. Optionally accounting for the interaction with external electric fields within the semiclassical dipole approximation, WavePacket can simulate modern experiments using ultrashort light pulses in photo-induced physics or chemistry, including quantum optimal control. The graphical capabilities allow visualization 'on the fly', including Wigner transforms to phase space. A description of WavePacket can be found in our manuscript at http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.cpc.2016.12.007. For examples / movies, see also the Wiki pages of the WavePacket main project. First established in 2004, the present Matlab version is in a stable, mature state. Further development mainly by Burkhard Schmidt at Free University Berlin

Python GUI program to work with Geiger counters like GMC-300/320/500
GeigerLog is a Python based GUI program to work with GQ Electronic's GMC-300 / 320 and now also GMC-500 Geiger counters. Available as "scripts" to run where a proper Python environment exists, or as "bundle", which brings its own Python environment (but currently runs on Linux only). GeigerLog allows reading of Geiger counter data, logging to file, printing to screen and plotting as graph, showing Count Rate vs. Time, both in various, selectable units. The history stored on the Geiger counter's internal memory can be extracted, analyzed and graphed in the same way. The graph is live auto-updated and allows various customization. Time ranges for analysis can be set manually or per left/right mouse click. GeigerLog can control some functions of a connected counter (limited to GMC-3xx counters!). Advanced analysis of the data now permits count rate histograms with Poisson fit for quality control of data, and FFT analysis for any periodic signal hidden within the data.
