Software for electromagnetic simulation
MaxFem is an open software package for electromagnetic simulation by using finite element methods. The package can solve problems in electrostatics, direct current, magnetostatics and eddy-currents. We have moved the installers to the MaxFEM website (see below). In order to improve MaxFEM, we will require you to fill out a simple form before downloading them.

Dynamics of quantum systems, controlled by external fields
WavePacket is a program package for numerical simulation of quantum-mechanical wavepacket dynamics for distinguishable particles. It can be used to solve one or more (i.e. coupled channels) time-independent or time-dependent (linear) Schrödinger and Liouville-von Neumann-equations. Optionally accounting for the interaction with external electric fields within the semiclassical dipole approximation, WavePacket can simulate modern experiments using ultrashort light pulses in photo-induced physics or chemistry, including quantum optimal control. The graphical capabilities allow visualization 'on the fly', including Wigner transforms to phase space. A virtual planetarium for observers of the real sky.
Aciqra is a virtual planetarium and sky mapping program which tracks celestial bodies including planets, deep sky objects and stars to an accuracy of a fraction of a degree for thousands of years into both the future and the past. It includes the 2.5 million stars of the Tycho-2 catalog supplemented by data of 120,000 stars from the Hipparcos catalog, 13,000 deep space objects from the NGC and IC catalogs and a large number of asteroids and comets from the Minor Planet Center. The program is platform-independent and can be made to work on most modern computers that support OpenGL.
A MATLAB program for 2D particle tracking or 3D DHM based tracking.
We present a versatile and fast MATLAB program (UmUTracker) that automatically detects and tracks particles by analyzing long video sequences acquired by either light microscopy or digital holography microscopy (DHM). Our program finds the 2D particle center position using an isosceles triangle transform and the axial position by a fast implementation of Rayleigh-Sommerfeld numerical reconstruction algorithm using a one dimensional radial intensity profile. *Updates v1.1: 2017/11/21- Bug fix & Blob detection functions. oxDNA is a simulation code that was initially conceived as an implementation of the coarse-grained DNA model introduced by T. E. Ouldridge, J. P. K. Doye and A. A. It natively supports DNA, RNA, Lennard-Jones and patchy particle simulations on both CPUs and NVIDIA GPUs.

A program for fitting structural models to small angle scattering data
SASfit has been written for analyzing and plotting small angle scattering data. It can calculate integral structural parameters like radius of gyration, scattering invariant, Porod constant. Furthermore it can fit size distributions together with several form factors including different structure factors. Additionally an algorithm has been implemented, which allows to simultaneously fit several scattering curves with a common set of (global) parameters. This last option is especially important in contrast variation experiments or measurements with polarised neutrons. The global fit helps to determine fit parameters unambiguously which by analysing a single curve would be otherwise strongly correlated.
