    SIMBUCA (before called Simonion) is a simulation package that simulates the motion of charged particles under the influence of Electric and/or Magnetic fields. What makes Simbuca unique is that you can choose to calculate the Coulomb interaction between ions on a Graphics cards which is much faster than calculating this on the conventional CPU (reducing the simulation time from years to days). Therefore Simbuca has been applied in various projects which required to understand the behaviour of charged "trapped" particles under the influence of EM Fields and there mutual Coulomb interaction. Simbuca is easy to read and understand and can be tweaked to your personal needs. It has been applied to simulate different types of particles: for example antiprotons, positrons, 39K+ , highly charged ions, negatively charged particles.     SasView is a Small Angle Scattering (SAS) analysis package for the analysis of 1D and 2D scattering data directly in inverse space. The focus was originally on neutron data (SANS) but has been used for X-ray’s as well and includes a tool for determining a slit resolution for the SAXSess instrument. SansView also includes PrView to invert SAS data to P(r), a resolution calculator, and a scattering length density calculator among others tools. A simple plugin mechanism is available for users to add custom models. This project was initiated by the NSF funded DANSE project, DMR-0520547, SANS sub-project at the University of Tennessee Knoxville. Acknowledgement of that original funding would be appreciated in any publications that make use of the software.

    Structure of Arrays of multiple types

    Structures of arrays (SoA) are generally faster than arrays of structures (AoS) while AoS are more handy. This project (SoAx) combines the advantages of both. By means of C++(11) meta-template programming SoAx achieves maximal performance (efficient use of vector units and cache of modern CPUs) while providing a very convenient user interface (including object-oriented element handling) and flexibility. It has been designed to handle list-like sets of particles (similar to struct {int id; double[3] pos; float[3] vel;};) in the context of high-performance numerical simulations. It can be applied to many other problems. Please check the sample file main.cpp to see examples of code that you can write with SoAx.
