A canvas library for generating technical drawings
The ADG library (Automatic Drawing Generation) is a set of functions focused on automating the drawing of mechanical parts. It is not a CAD system but a GObject-based library where a custom application can put common CAD entities such as paths, hatches and dimensions, to automatically create technical drawings. A demo application is provided in order to show the capabilities of the canvas. Although it is possible to interact with the library directly in C (that is what the adg-demo program is doing), the canvas is expected to be used from higher level languages, much in the same way as what done in the GNOME stack. Lua bindings based on LGI are already provided out of the box. The adg-lua project, downloadable from the "Files" section, provides Lua programs and demos that leverages these bindings.
Graphical Depth of Field Calculator
DOFView is a "Depth of Field" Calculator. It is a small application written in C++/Qt for Window and Linux to evaluate the effect of the focal, subject distance, and the f-Number change, on the depth of field. DOFView will report near and far distance limits, hyperfocal, total DoF etc., both in textual or graphical format. A simulation of what can be seen in the camera viewfinder is also shown in 3D. The application was inspired by my Nikon D5100, even if the user can set information and use this program selecting among hundreds of compact or DSLR camera models.
Vessel Simulator Program
Vessel Simulator Program ------------------------ Java program that simulates a vessel moving on the face of the earth. Assuming you have all the prerequisites installed you can run the program either directly from eclipse or just download the JAR file and go "java -jar <name_of_jar_file.jar>" Tell your navigation software/whatever to connect to port 2222 of your machine. NMEA 0183 sentences are sent out from the simulation on port 2222. In the GUI slide up the speed slider (vertical) to start moving and steer using the steering slider (horizontal). Currently there is no facility to move vertically. The altitude is set at initialization and remains where set. Prerequisites ------------- Java of a reasonably current vintage.

Astronomy program for selecting, viewing, aligning and stacking images. Creates 16-bit AVI gray/color video files from images series, concatenates videos together into one video file. The program helps to rebuild sequences of images and restore continuous order of files after they were edited, deleted, renamed or moved. PGMania converts images from one format to another. Supports batch converting operations, also for image sequences. Image formats can be any of well known image formats 8/16/32 bpp b/w/c. The program aligns and fits the pairs of images or image series, with each other or over master, calibrates them in pairs. Program detects stars and get stars statistics. Calculates fwhm, snr and star magnitudes. Image editor with alive histogram, contrast stretching, filters, evaluates and post process. XML and txt logging of all actions and results. *) PGMania uses original algorithm for image calibration. No need for dark & bias files for calibration and fit images.

Its goal is the creation of a XML formatter designated especially for the needs of the “Digital Humanties”. The project is funded by the DFG. Please visit https://sites.google.com/a/budabe.eu/xmlprint_de/kontakt and let us know, what you think about XML-Print – Does it meet your expectations? – What is missing? – Do you use it regularly? Thank you.
The ACTIVE-IST project is a set of libraries (e.g. JAUS SDK) for rapid development of cross-platform applications with Unmanned Systems using the JAUS Standard (AS5710, AS6009), Simulations, Human-Interface Devices, and more.
EMTG is NASA Goddard's autonomous space mission design tool.
Warning, EMTGv8 is no longer supported by NASA GSFC. Furthermore, we are no longer able to supply a binary version. However, if anyone wants to use the source code for EMTGv8 and compile it yourself against a recent available SNOPT, we wish you the best. This will require some C++ programming skills and the ability to work with a complex build system. Some day in the future we hope to release EMTGv9 open-source, but for a variety of reasons it is not possible to do that right now.
EVO is a simulation platform for co-evolving the morphology and the behavior of 3D artificial agents in a complex environment. This project directly follows the original work of Karl Sims. It puts together complex creatures, a GA & Open Dynamics Engine.

A Library for Interactive Modelling and Visualisation
The OpenCMISS-Zinc Library (opencmiss.org/zinc), or Zinc, is a software library for building interactive graphical modelling and visualisation applications. Models are represented in Zinc as mathematical fields defined over domains, including finite elements with support for high-order basis functions, complex parameter mappings and time variation, and image-based fields. Further fields can be defined by mathematical expressions and algorithms on existing fields, including image processing filters. Zinc model data structures are dynamic, supporting interactive applications which programmatically create, destroy and modify parts of models.

Anyone should able to explore and see the structure of files using any zip tool.
Rapid Alignment Free Tool for Sequences Similarity Search
RAFTS3 can perform high-speed protein search comparisons locally using a desktop computer or laptop. RAFTS3 performed searches many times faster than those with BLASTp against large protein databases such as NR and Pfam, with a small loss of sensitivity depending on the similarity degree of the sequences. RAFTS3 is a new alternative for fast comparison of protein sequences, genome annotation and biological data mining. Preprint: http://dx.doi.org/10.1101/055269 Precomputed databases evaluated on paper are available for download at http://www.bioinfo.ufpr.br/software/rafts3
Library to support quantitative analysis of radiotherapy data
Moved to: http://github.com/MIC-DKFZ/RTTB RTToolbox is a software library, developed at the DKFZ to support quantitative analysis of treatment outcome for radiotherapy. The RTToolbox was designed following object-oriented design principles and was implemented in the language C++. It supports the import of radiotherapy data (e.g. dose distributions and structure sets) from DICOM-RT format and other standard image processing formats by using a bridge to ITK. The RTToolbox supports the full range of radiotherapy evaluation. Tools such as DVH calculation, arithmetic operations on dose distributions and structure relationship analysis are provided as a basis for further calculations. Dose comparison indices such as Conformity Index (CI), Homogeneity Index (HI) and Conformation Number (CN), and biological models including TCP, NTCP, EUD and BED are determined from dose distributions and DVHs. The RTToolbox can be easily extended to support other data format, comparison indices and
