The RTToolbox was designed following object-oriented design principles and was implemented in the language C++. It supports the import of radiotherapy data (e.g. dose distributions and structure sets) from DICOM-RT format and other standard image processing formats by using a bridge to ITK. The RTToolbox supports the full range of radiotherapy evaluation. Tools such as DVH calculation, arithmetic operations on dose distributions and structure relationship analysis are provided as a basis for further calculations. Dose comparison indices such as Conformity Index (CI), Homogeneity Index (HI) and Conformation Number (CN), and biological models including TCP, NTCP, EUD and BED are determined from dose distributions and DVHs.     As a medical blogger, I felt that there is a need for platform-independent medical dictionary. Hence 'java 8'. The dictionary must be customizable ie. user should be able to add, delete words. Hence, the use of text file for medical data, instead of xml or some database or sql or some hard-to-understand things. Java 8 can be invoked even from usb pen drives. We have used only one .java file which contains the main class. Compiling it yielded only two classes. Thus simplicity is maintained, without any frills. This medical mini dictionary has only some 10,00 sample words, available on internet freely. The data text file and the classes ARE NOT TO BE COMMERCIALISED. User can go on adding his own words by using a text editor such as geany or gedit.

    This Ethernet sniffer was designed to work together with the medical device for EEG acquisition BrainNet36® (BNT36), from EMSA Equipamentos Médicos Ltda. BrainNet36® has 36 channels, A/D converters with 16 bit accuracy, conversion time of 10 µs and Ethernet communication interface. Being a device for clinical purposes, BrainNet36® does not export data online. This sniffer was developed to allow online processing by working in promiscuous mode and recording data in a plain text file.
