A MATLAB toolbox for approximate Bayesian computation (ABC) in stochastic differential equation models. It performs approximate Bayesian computation for stochastic models having latent dynamics defined by stochastic differential equations (SDEs) and not limited to the "state-space" modelling framework. Both one- and multi-dimensional SDE systems are supported and partially observed systems are easily accommodated. Variance components for the "measurement error" affecting the data/observations can be estimated. A 50-pages Reference Manual is provided with two case-studies implemented and discussed. Collection of utilities based on two basics classes: Matematica and VarData. Matematica) performs math operations on vectors and matrices for smoothing, interpolation, convolution, image processing... VarData) manipulate a structure of points connected by links. Addraw) openGL engine. ElPoly) analyze mechanical properties of polymer and membrane like structures. Addyn) perform molecular dynamics and Monte Carlo simulations and has a solver for 4th oder PDE. Avvis) perform all the operation of Matematica on different sets of data visualized on a Qt graphical interface. DrImage) image manipulation on the Matematica filters. The program is intended to use as less as possible external libs (optional: openGL, gsl, fftw, cgal, png, tiff, boost, MPI, Qt...).
A program to calculate and represent the Mandelbrot set
This project is a C++ program to calculate and represent graphically the Mandelbrot fractal set, and/or the corresponding Julia sets, according to the seed Z0 given by the user as input. The user disposes of a graphical interface to control the program and modify conveniently some parameters, like the XY-scales, the XY map area, the Julia seed for the complex series iteration of Z(n+1)=Z(n)^2+a, being Z(0)=(X0,Y0) the seed, and "a in XY" the points to be calculated. The user can enter (among other parameters) the desired convergence-radius R for the series, and/or the number of maximal iterations N for the generator-equation in Z.

The idea of this is that the user won't actually need to know that they are using a mann-whitney U over a t-test, for example - it just tests for normality and homoscedastic of variance, and decides which test to use, then reports the results. Why? Because time after time, people come to me with some test that they've done that they think "proves" something - when in reality they've either not done a comparative test to start with (ex. a correlation), failed to test for confounding factors (such as normality etc) and as a result, failed to appropriately identify even the right test to do.
