A MATLAB package to simulate sample paths of the solution of a Itô or Stratonovich stochastic differential equation (SDE), compute statistics and estimate the parameters from data. A note of caution: SDE Toolbox is no more developed but it's still downloadable. Its inferential capabilities can be considered surpassed (at best). Actually the parameter estimation methods were already far from the state-of-art when the project began in 2007 (!). The considered implemented parametric and non-parametric Monte Carlo likelihood methods were chosen for their ability to treat both one-dimensional and multivariate SDE systems, although the quality of the inferential results can't match those obtained using more advanced techniques. Nevertheless the toolbox capabilities to simulate numerical solutions of SDE systems are still valid and can serve as a useful starting point to those willing to simulate stochastic dynamical models easily.
Realtime bigdata tool for bit strings up to 2^63 based on AVL forest
Realtime bigdata tool at the bit level based on immutable AVL forest which can be run in memory or, in future versions, as a merkle forest like a blockchain. Main object is a sparse bit string (Bits) that efficiently scales up to 2^63 bits normally compressed as forest has duplicated substrings. Bits objects support reading bit, byte, short, int, or long (Java primitives) at any bit index in 64 bit range. Example: instead of building a class to hold a header and then data, represent all of that as Bits, subranges of them, and ints for sizes of its parts. Expansion ability for other kinds of compression, since Bits is a Java interface. Main functions on bits are substring, concat, number of 0 or 1 bits, and number of bits (size). All those operations can be done millions of times per second regardless of size because the AVL forest reuses existing branches recursively. Theres a scalar (originally for copy/pasting subranges of sounds) and a bit Java package. Sparse n dimensional matrix.

Libagf is a machine learning library that includes adaptive kernel density estimators using Gaussian kernels and k-nearest neighbours. R package for modelling anthropogenic deforestation
phcfM is an R package for modelling anthropogenic deforestation. It was named after the REDD+ pilot-project 'programme holistique de conservation des forêts à Madagascar'. phcfM includes two main functions: (i) demography(), to model the population growth with time in a hierarchical Bayesian framework using population census data and Gaussian linear mixed models and (ii) deforestation(), to model the deforestation process in a hierarchical Bayesian framework using land-cover change data and Binomial logistic regression models with variable time-intervals between land-cover observations. The two functions use embedded Gibbs samplers written in C++ with the Scythe statistical library to reduce computational time.

Demonstrate errors in transmission of a file over a noisy channel.
This program was written to dimonstrate errors in transmission for a presentation on Claude Shannon's Noisy Channel Coding Theorem. It takes an input file, the probability of a bit being flipped, and, if specified, the size of the header of the file. The program was intended to take monochrome bitmap files as input, so that each bit refers to a pixel in the image and thus, it would be easy to see errors in the output file, as some of the pixels would be flipped; however, it will work on any input file.

Novel Score will also get gather and rank said text's most commonly used words. This tool was originally built to analyze the word variance of different authors. To a certain extent, TTR is a measure of one's expressive vocabulary, and thus writing ability. However, take any results with a grain of salt.
