GPS track editor for editing tracks and planning (multiple) day tours
JGPSTrackEdit is a tool for editing gps tracks and planning (multiple days) tours (GPS track editor). An abritary number of tracks may be opened or created, tracks may be merged. A track may be splitted, reversed or edited (e.g. compressed and corrected). Points may be inserted or appended to a track (routing supported) or may be moved or deleted from a track. Maps of several providers are available, the default map is OpenStreetMap. Currently supported track formats: garmin route, gpx and txc, kml, import from www.gpsies.com. JGPSTrackEdit my also be used to download tile images for later offline use by smartphone apps. JGPSTrackEdit is written in the java language. OTB is an open-source C++ library for remote sensing images processing
The Orfeo Toolbox is a C++ library for high resolution remote sensing image processing. It is developped by CNES in the frame of the ORFEO program. More information is available at www.orfeo-toolbox.org It is based on the medical image processing library ITK and offers particular functionalities for remote sensing image processing in general and for high spatial resolution images in particular. Targeted algorithms for high resolution optical images (SPOT, Quickbird, Worldview, Landsat, Ikonos), hyperspectral sensors (Hyperion) or SAR (TerraSarX, ERS, Palsar) are available. Orfeo ToolBox has three main access depending on the category of user: write processing chains in C++ using existing filters or creating new ones, use the OTB applications, which is a plugin-based framework allowing to extend high-level processing chains from various environment ( command-line, QT, QGis, Python....) or use Monteverdi, a software for everyday life image manipulation and analysis.
Plugins for OpenCPN
This project hosts various plugins for the OpenCPN chart plotter, which are not bundled with the core package. OpenCPN is a free software (GPLv2) project to create a concise chart plotter and navigation software, for use underway or as a planning tool. OpenCPN is developed by a team of active sailors using real world conditions for program testing and refinement.
PCRaster environmental modeling software
Note: Active projects have been copied to Github: https://github.com/pcraster PCRaster is a collection of tools and software libraries tailored to the construction of spatio-temporal environmental models. Application domains are amongst others hydrology (rainfall-runoff, global water balance, groundwater (with Modflow)), ecology, or land use change. Two scripting languages (PCRcalc and Python) include a rich set of spatial operations for manipulating and analysing raster maps. A Python framework supports Monte Carlo simulations and data assimilation (Ensemble Kalman Filter and Particle Filter). The Aguila tool allows for the interactive visualisation of stochastic spatio-temporal data.
Advanced mission simulation and analysis tool
The Orbit Determination Toolbox (ODTBX) is developed by the Navigation & Mission Design branch at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center as an advanced mission simulation and analysis tool used for concept exploration, proposal, early design phase, and/or rapid design center environments. ODTBX functions and utilities are combined in a flexible architecture that allows for modular development of navigation algorithms and simulations. The core ODTBX functionality is realized through a set of estimation commands that incorporate Monte Carlo data simulation, linear covariance analysis, and measurement processing at a generic level.

XNavigator is the online viewer for the OpenStreetMap Globe at http://osm-3d.org and much more. It is an interactive 3D viewer and integrated client for exploring virtual city and landscape models. A wide range of interaction and navigation possibilities makes it easy to visualize and analyze very detailed virtual urban environments. XNavigator is the first application that supports the Web3DService (W3DS) service interface.
PyNcView is a cross-platform NetCDF viewer written in Python. It provides an easy-to-use graphical user interface to the creation of animations and publication-quality figures.
Search and download satellite images
RS Downloader offers access to satellite image data pools. Via web interface the user is able to search and download specified satellite images. This version is an alpha and while running stable, currently only retrieves products from NASAs LP DAAC data pool (see https://lpdaac.usgs.gov/data_access/data_pool). Further versions will include updated parsers and spatial selection UIs to access other available sources.

Analyze and change GPS coordinates and time in digital pictures
German and English is supported. Program runs under Windows XP,7 and 8 (maybe others too) Just download it (and unzip) and run it.
Free image and chart digitizer

UAVphoto is a simple tool that allows to calculate parameters like ground pixel size, motion blur and sequential image overlap from UAV flight parameters (velocity and altitude) and camera parameters (focal length etc.). Calculation assumes vertical camera view.Image x dimensions are those in flight direction, image y dimensions are those perpendicular to flight direction. Default camera values are for Canon G12 at the wide angle limit. Five to six seconds is the approximate minimum image interval using a CHDK (http://chdk.wikia.com) interval script. In continous shooting mode, a minimum interval of approximately one second can be achieved.
Distributed Version Control System for Geospatial data
Welcome to the GeoGig project, exploring the use of distributed management of spatial data. GeoGig draws inspiration from Git, but adapts its core concepts to handle versioning of geospatial data. Users are able to import raw geospatial data (currently from Shapefiles, PostGIS or SpatiaLite) in to a repository where every change to the data is tracked. These changes can be viewed in a history, reverted to older versions, branched in to sandboxed areas, merged back in, and pushed to remote repositories.
Get map grid (raster) information: size, value summaries, frequencies
Information about a map grid (raster map) is displayed in this Windows-based stand-alone program. It displays number of rows, columns and cells, the nodata value, maximum and minimum values, the mean, median and mode of values, and grid cell size in map units. It also displays a frequency distribution of grid values. It opens tif, asc and bil formats. Please Review
