GeographicLib is a small set of C++ classes for converting between geographic, UTM, UPS, MGRS, and geocentric coordinates, for gravity (e.g., EGM2008), geoid, and geomagnetic field (e.g., WMM2010) calculations, and for solving geodesic problems. For documentation, visit https://geographiclib.sf.io
NITRO has moved! Please visit us at https://github.com/mdaus/nitro for the latest code (SourceForge is now several years out of date) and to post any bugs or questions. NITRO is a full-fledged, extensible library solution for reading and writing the National Imagery Transmission Format (NITF), a U.S. DoD standard format. It is written in cross-platform C, with bindings available for other languages.
AIS Logger is a simple viewer and logger for data received by AIS-transponders or -receivers.
Bacard (Back-end Architecture for Computer Aided Resource Dispatch) will help you assign resources to a task and monitor their activity. Bacard service oriented interface let you tailor your front-end applications to your needs.
MDiG, or Modular Dispersal in GIS, is a dispersal simulation system for predicting the spread of biological organisms across real environments and landscapes. It is an extension to the GRASS GIS, but also defines a XML definition for dispersal modelling.
Geomatics & mapping tools for the masses!
The purpose of this workshop is to share the tools created as an aid to our everyday work with students, enthusiasts and specialists interested in the development and use of new technologies including (but not limited to) geomatics, mapping, web mapping services (WMS), drafting, remote sensing, GIS and related occult sciences of Gaia. Check out the NBR (dn2nbr) and NDVI (dn2ndvi) calculating tools for GRASS GIS at the top menu!!!
Port of Lua VM and OpenWig to Python
Pigwig is an attempt to reimplement OpenWig, opensource Wherigo player, in Python. Since wherigo cartridges use Lua bytecode, it also implements Lua VM, taken from OpenWig, originally project Kahlua
This software enables easy creation and sharing of district maps online.
The VTK Geography library is an extension for the Visualization Toolkit that includes classes for spatial processing, coordinate system management, and reading/writing data in GIS formats (shapefile and DGN) and databases (PostGIS and ArcSDE).
Python-accessible toolkit for Geoscience & Remote Sensing Applications
GeoSciPy is a set of C and Python functions that provide an API for all aspects of Geoscience and Remote Sensing Applications. Functions include reading/writing of many data formats, images, vectors, ..., and processing of images, vectors, ... including map projections, ... The library is written C, using HDF5 as the file format for storage of all remotely-sensed data and ancillary data, as well as processed data. The C functions assume a particular format for the HDF5 file contents, and provide functions for reading and writing data to such files. There is also a Python API that provides a procedural as well as an object-oriented interface to these functions. A Python GUI for interacting with such datasets is also part of the project. While there are other open-source GIS, and image-processing packages available, this one is designed to be comprehensive, work on 3 major platforms, user-extensible, fast, and able to handle huge datasets.
