The purpose of this workshop is to share the tools created as an aid to our everyday work with students, enthusiasts and specialists interested in the development and use of new technologies including (but not limited to) geomatics, mapping, web mapping services (WMS), drafting, remote sensing, GIS and related occult sciences of Gaia. Look up in river distances in the Penobscot River drainage.
Allows user to input a .csv of UTM coordinates within the Penobscot River basin and calculates in-river distance (in kilometers) from the river's mouth to the locations of interest. The results are output into a new .csv file named yourfilename+RKM.csv. For the purposes of this calculator, river kilometer 0 is located at 516414E 4927755N in UTM Zone 19N, near the southwest corner of Verona Island. Simply download the setup file and run it to install the program. Please contact me with suggestions to improve this program.

This project provides a GUI interface to the Remote Sensing and GIS library (RSGISLib) allowing the input XML files to be edited, validated and executed. The interface also provides XML templates for common tasks.

Application for managing land searches for missing persons.
Experimental application for assisting in the management of land searches for missing persons. Incorporates OpenJump for GIS rendering of segments, establishing intitial POA values for segments through consensus or mixed consensus and statistical distances, POS and POA recalculation based on PODs from applied resources, and task assignments suggested by missing person behavior profiles.

Simulates a vessel, including generation of NMEA 0183 sentences
This program is intended to be used for testing navigation software, in particular software using the NMEA 0183 standard sentences. The software simulates a vessel moving across the surface of the earth and has modules which generate NMEA GPS sentences as well as Compass Heading sentences. The program includes a TCP/IP NMEA server which takes the generated sentences and distributes sentences received from one peer to all other peers that have registered with the server (by connecting to port 2222) All modules can be used as a complete system for testing navigation applications which expect to consume NMEA 0183 sentences or individual modules can be used to integrate into your own application. The code is written in Ruby and requires Visual Ruby to be installed and working as well as the excellent Event Machine gem.
WMSWalker is a Java program which retrieves a set of images spanning a specified area from an WMS-server and creates either GeoTIFF or .png with .wld world files. These files can be used to create a cache with pre-rendered images.
