Interactive OpenGL map projection and navigation with geodetic utils.
Geodysseus is a cross platform OpenGL interactive map projection and navigation program. The user clicks on a map or 3D globe to create geodetic traverses. The geodesic can then be approximated with any number of loxodrome legs. Tracks may then be re-projected onto different map projections. The aim is to make a multi-purpose navigational tool for Land, Sea and Air. At present, the program is in early development and should not be considered suitable for navigation. The program comes with documentation in html format.
GIMED is a metadata editor for geospatial data. It is focused on providing compliant metadata with the ISO19139 standard and INSPIRE directive.
GPS track editor for editing tracks and planning (multiple) day tours
JGPSTrackEdit is a tool for editing gps tracks and planning (multiple days) tours (GPS track editor). An abritary number of tracks may be opened or created, tracks may be merged. A track may be splitted, reversed or edited (e.g. compressed and corrected). Points may be inserted or appended to a track (routing supported) or may be moved or deleted from a track. Maps of several providers are available, the default map is OpenStreetMap. Currently supported track formats: garmin route, gpx and txc, kml, import from www.gpsies.com. JGPSTrackEdit my also be used to download tile images for later offline use by smartphone apps. JGPSTrackEdit is written in the java language. To run the software, a java runtime installation is required (may be obtained from www.java.com/download/index.jsp) More information, including the user manual, may be found on the wiki pages (https://sourceforge.net/p/jgpstrackedit/wiki/Home/)
DB Query Plugin for OpenJump
The JUMP DB Query Plugin is an extension for the OpenJUMP GIS platform that allows OpenJUMP users to give arbitrary database queries to retrieve and display geographic feature sets. Spatial databases currently supported are PostGIS, Oracle Spatial, MySQL, and SpatiaLite.
Tool for assessment of environmental services on farm scale.
The "MANUELA"-project is designed to enable farmers for the documentation of the environmental services provided by their holdings. Localization, description and evaluation of these services are joined within an open source Geographic Information System (OpenJUMP) and a PostgreSQL database.
MorphoLim : identifying city boundaries
MorphoLim has been moved to sourcesup (https://sourcesup.renater.fr/morpholim/). MorphoLim is dedicated to the identification of the morphological boundary of urban agglomerations. The method used avoids the need for any pre-defined maximum distance threshold between buildings. It is based on the conceptual and methodological tools of fractal geometry. Authors of the application: Cécile Tannier, Gilles Vuidel, and Pierre Frankhauser (ThéMA, Besançon, France)

A reference implementation of the Polish geobotanical grid
This project is a reference, open source implementation of the coordinate conversion algorithms for the Polish geobotanical grid called ATPOL.
OpenSeaMap's goal is to add nautical and tourism information a sailor could be interested in to OSM (OpenStreetMap) and to present it in a pleasing way. Those include beacons, buoys and other seamark and port information.
Osm2mpGUI is a GUI extension for osm2mp perl script written by liosha for converting Openstreetmap xml files (*.osm) into polish format (*.mp)
Geomatics & mapping tools for the masses!
The purpose of this workshop is to share the tools created as an aid to our everyday work with students, enthusiasts and specialists interested in the development and use of new technologies including (but not limited to) geomatics, mapping, web mapping services (WMS), drafting, remote sensing, GIS and related occult sciences of Gaia. Check out the NBR (dn2nbr) and NDVI (dn2ndvi) calculating tools for GRASS GIS at the top menu!!!
PCRaster environmental modeling software
Note: Active projects have been copied to Github: https://github.com/pcraster PCRaster is a collection of tools and software libraries tailored to the construction of spatio-temporal environmental models. Application domains are amongst others hydrology (rainfall-runoff, global water balance, groundwater (with Modflow)), ecology, or land use change. Two scripting languages (PCRcalc and Python) include a rich set of spatial operations for manipulating and analysing raster maps. A Python framework supports Monte Carlo simulations and data assimilation (Ensemble Kalman Filter and Particle Filter). The Aguila tool allows for the interactive visualisation of stochastic spatio-temporal data.
Look up in river distances in the Penobscot River drainage.
Allows user to input a .csv of UTM coordinates within the Penobscot River basin and calculates in-river distance (in kilometers) from the river's mouth to the locations of interest. The results are output into a new .csv file named yourfilename+RKM.csv. For the purposes of this calculator, river kilometer 0 is located at 516414E 4927755N in UTM Zone 19N, near the southwest corner of Verona Island. Simply download the setup file and run it to install the program. Please contact me with suggestions to improve this program.

The remote sensing and GIS library is a set of C++ libraries and commands for the processing of spatial data (raster, vector and point cloud). Functionality is available through an XML interface, ideal for batch processing. Code is has been moved to https://bitbucket.org/petebunting/rsgislib
This project provides a GUI interface to the Remote Sensing and GIS library (RSGISLib) allowing the input XML files to be edited, validated and executed. The interface also provides XML templates for common tasks.
Search and download satellite images
RS Downloader offers access to satellite image data pools. Via web interface the user is able to search and download specified satellite images. This version is an alpha and while running stable, currently only retrieves products from NASAs LP DAAC data pool (see https://lpdaac.usgs.gov/data_access/data_pool). Further versions will include updated parsers and spatial selection UIs to access other available sources.
