Pascal Units for Medical Applications
The PUMA Repository is a collection of Pascal units for medical informatics. It contains reusable source code for a wide field of health-care application development. The code includes converting functions for measurement units and an HL7 engine. PUMA is compatible with Lazarus and Free Pascal. Some of the units also support other Pascal implementations including Delphi, winsoft Pocket Studio and other compilers.
Software for analysis of patch-clamp recordings and other wave data
This program was designed mainly for preconditioning and analysis of electrophysiological data, including patch-clamp and 2-electrode voltage clamp recordings. The program includes tools both for basic analysis of whole-cell recordings or analysis of single channel properties. Program can display and analyse long traces incuding many sweeps, series and even groups simultaneously. Current amplitudes or time intervals are easily measured. Single channel conductance, kinetics, NPo, as well as number of channels in a patch and their open probability may be estimated with the analysis of dwelling time at each conductance level. The program directly reads files, created by Pulse and PatchMaster software (HEKA Elektronik Dr. Schulze GmbH) as well as ASCII files. However, the program may be useful in various applications when editing and measurements in a 2-dimentional (for example time-current) wave are required.

An aquarium management software with a Simulation Model System
SME LibreAquarium is an Aquarium management system with a Simulation Model Engine (SME) that makes a prediction of the possible measurement values for the different pollutants that affect to these aquatics systems (NO3,PO4, Fe). The simulator consults the recorded analysis to calculate a prediction of the NO3, PO4, Fe, that the these aquatic system produce. It also uses a central (fish, plant and invertebrates) database to check if the actual parameters are Ok, depending on the species that live in the Aquarium. With all the records, the Simulation Model predicts the algae risk too (low,medium,high) and the algae type(green,cyanotic.) using the Redfield coefficient. Appart from that, the program tries to bring another modest contribution to Open Source Software and the World of Aquariums. SME LibreAquarium helps to daily maintenace of the aquarium with habitants control(fishes,plants, invertebrates), expenses, statistics, alarms, etc.
Body Mass Index (BMI) and Other Indexes Calculator with Classification
CIMA is a program that provides an easy way to calculate a diversity of body indexes related to the fat content and energy needs, providing a way to control our weight: 1 - Body Mass Index (BMI), including both the traditional and the new proposed formulas, and provides a classification of the results. The evaluation takes in account the age groups (adults, children and the elderly). 2 - Body Adiposity Index (BAI). 3 - Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) for Men and for Women. 4 - Body Fat Percentage (BFP). 5 - Total Daily Calories Needs based on the activity levels of the user lifestyle. The program supports 3 languages (English, European Portuguese and Brazilian Portuguese). IMPORTANT: CIMA works only with the International System of Units (SI). No other systems are allowed since SI is the standard one. CIMA may still require a depuration before becoming a mature program, but it is already functional and may be downloaded by anyone.

Calculations with matrixes of integers or fractions up to 4 x 5
Integer and fractional elements are allowed, but not floating point numbers. Matrices (or their elements) and systems of linear equations can be also generated by the app, to practice with operations and propieties. The app calculates the matrix range, determiner of square matrices, traspose, inverse of inversible matrices (that is, square matrices with non zero determiner), the matrix of adjuncts, the forms of Gauss and Gauss-Jordan. It allows submatrices extraction by selection of rows and columns. Combined operations among matrixes: addition, subtraction, product, raising to a power Systems of equations up to 4 equations with 4 unknowns, also introduced by the user or generated by the app: it makes the classification of the system and the resolution in consistent systems.
