This desktop application provides graphical control of K8055, a USB Experiment Interface Board by Velleman (http://www.velleman.eu/). It will be mostly platform-independend at a later time. The current (beta) version is for windows 2000/XP/Vista/7 on 32Bit. It is incompatible with all other Operating Systems and with 64Bit architecture. I stopped developing this application. pyPIDTune is a free python-based tool for PID controller design and tuning. pyPIDTune is based on scipy (numpy, scipy) <http://www.scipy.org/>, guiqwt <http://code.google.com/p/guiqwt/> and pyQt4 <http://www.riverbankcomputing.co.uk>. If you are not familiar with python you can use winpython <http://code.google.com/p/winpython>. The project (too ambitious) was abandoned. A Genetic algorithm approach to creating beats.
The program puts beats through evolution - survival, mutations, reproduction. The purpose, in the words of Africa Bambaataa - Looking for the perfect beat. Using a genetic algorithmic framework, the user's taste defines a Beat fitness function - she decides which beats survive and breed, and which join the choir invisible. In addition, the user can easily define an automatic fitness function, put the program on 'autopilot' mode, and let it speed up evolution. Different types of mutations (including inactive genes, changing instruments, and more) occur randomly (or at the user's control), and the user can add her own beats to the population. The program was written by Nir Rosenfeld and Assaf Michaely.

PROJECT DISCONTINUED ---------------------------------------- RESHL is a collection of Linux software used to interact with pen-master based haptic devices. Its name, ROS-Enhanced Scalable Haptic Library, describes all its main features: - ROS-Enhanced: the library can be used as a library in the ROS framework (Robot Operating System - http://www.ros.org/) and provides out-of-the-box support for master-slave solutions - Scalable: the library consists in different sub-libraries with different software dependencies. This way you don't have to install software for devices or functionality you're not going to use. Refer to Structure section for details on the single sub-libraries. - Haptic: the end-application is using pen-master devices to simulate the sense of touch in a haptic virtual environment. - Library: the software is distributed in c++ libraries with an easy interface. A graphic environment based on OpenGL is generated to improve the user's experience.

A mobile application to create accelerometer based activity recognition models directly on the phone. The configuration of the segmentation and feature extraction process chain requires expert knownledge. The prototype was developed in 2012 in a bachelor thesis at the University of Kassel and was optimized and enhanced for an experiment in 2015.
