What is it? It's a Bootloader for Microchip, Atmel, NXP, TI and 8051 devices. A Bootloader is a firmware running in the microcontroler device which allows the user to send it's own firmware without the need of a programmer. This Bootloader consists of: - firmwares for many devices (this firmware need to be send to the device's flash memory with a programmer, only once) - a PC software which communicates with the bootloader firmware in the device and send the user's program in its memory Where does it come from? This Bootloader is based on "Tiny PIC Bootloader" made by Claudiu Chiculita. A special THANK to him!!! What can it do? It was created for performance engineers to be able to have a easy way to compare data from two testruns and be able to automate the comparing process of various files with scripts. There is a command line tool as well as a user interface. In case you need to compare .xml-Files you can convert them to .csv-Files with my other project CSV Transformer. The advantages by using CSV as input and output are the following: - Many applications allow an export of its data to CSV or Excel(were it could be saved to CSV) - It is possible to pre- and postprocess the data, e.g removing version numbers before comparing - It is easy to create CSV data from logfiles and other resources by using unix tools like sed or awk - CSV can be loaded into other applications, especially Excel, were it can be formatted by macros for analyzing.

This application reads in and plots scope waveform files that use the Tektronix '.ISF' format. The '.ISF' binary format file is created when channel waveform data is saved out of an oscilloscope. Either drag&drop the '.ISF' files into the grid OR use the 'File Open' menu selection. Once all the ISF files are in the grid, enter the percent (starting from the beginning) to plot into the '% to plot' column in the grid. Then press the 'Plot Data' button to render the waveforms.

Taxoblast is a pipeline to identify contamination in genomic sequence
Raw genomic sequences are frequently contaminated with sequences of other organism. Their identification is essential for the interpretation of genomic data. In this context it is essential to distinguish between horizontal gene transfers and contamination. The genomic context of sequences can help distinguish the two scenarios. Taxoblast splits genomic scaffolds into sub-sequences of defined length and for each of them determines the closest related taxon. It then summarizes this information for the entire scaffold, taking into account the taxonomic ontology. Scaffolds that exclusively match potential contaminants may be safely removed while sequences matching partially contaminants and partially the target organism may constitute horizontal transfers or assembly artifacts and need to be examined manually.

CNV prediction from Illumina genotyping data
CNVision is a Perl script that runs Illumina genotyping data (all chips from 300k to latest Omni) through PennCNV, QuantiSNPv2.3 and GNOSIS (an in-built algorithm). It merges the results and assesses the quality of the raw data. CNVision can also identify de novo CNVs in family-based data using a highly accurate algorithm that considers the possibility of CNVs in either parent based on the raw genotyping data. The script is optimized to work in a UNIX-based environment; it should work in Windows, however running the PennCNV component gives errors with the newer versions of PennCNV. CNVision was written to analyze data for the Simons Simplex Collection (SSC) autism data.
