A project to increase free Arabic fonts on Unix/Linux
Arabeyes is a Meta project that is aimed at fully supporting the Arabic language in the Unix/Linux environment. It is designed to be a central location to standardize the Arabization process. Arabeyes relies on voluntary contributions.

Pedigree Reconstruction and Identification of a Maximum Unrelated Set
NEW: Download new version with Pedigree Reconstruction at primus.gs.washington.edu This versions is outdated and incomplete. Please visit the new website for the complete version of PRIMUS. We present a method adapted from graph theory that always identifies the maximum set of unrelated individuals in any dataset, and allows weighting parameters to be utilized in unrelated sample selection. PRIMUS reads in user-generated IBD estimates and outputs the maximum possible set of unrelated individuals, given a specified threshold of relatedness. Additional information for preferential selection of individuals may also be utilized. For example, when there are two equally sized maximum sets of unrelated individuals in a network, PRIMUS can preferentially select the set with more affected individuals. Subscribe to the PRIMUS-Users e-mail list for notifications of updates and new versions. Relevant software: http://students.washington.edu/jeanm5/Simulate_IBD_Python.ta
Java code developed by the Australian ICGC team for operating on next-generation sequencing data. This code is currently being maintained and expanded by the QIMR Berghofer Genome Informatics team (http://www.qimrberghofer.edu.au/lab/genome-informatics/) More details and documentation can be found on the wiki: http://sourceforge.net/p/adamajava/wiki/Home/
PHPXref is a developers tool, written in Perl, that will cross reference and extract inline documentation from a collection of PHP scripts. It generates simple HTML output suitable for browsing offline.
SQS is the Simple Queueing System that allows jobs to be run in sequence on one or more machine. The queues can be inspected, jobs can be deleted from queues even when running, and jobs can be held. The latest version as at the end of 2011 is sqs-3.1.
autopilot is a command and control system for helicopters (and can be extended for fixed wing aircraft). It provides a three-axis EFIS and moving map on the ground station. The unmanned aerial robot has instrumentation for attitude, engine and position.
GGNFS is an open source implementation of General Number Field Sieve algorithm for factoring integers.
Software tools for processing taxonomic descriptions in DELTA format
The Free DELTA Project is a free, open-source, software alternative for a generic system to the processing of taxonomic descriptions based on the DELTA (DEscription Language for TAxonomy) format.
Media Cloud allows automated downloading and analysis of on-line media. It is intended to automate what was previously a tedious process of painstaking manual content analysis.
A Perl program for logging OBD-II PID data
The goal of the Perl OBD-II Logger project is to create a flexible and efficient application that can capture and log OBD-II Mode 0x01 PID data from an automotive scantool. It is designed with accurate and efficient PID data logging in mind, and provides NO support for reading or resetting diagnostic trouble codes. By default, the output log file contains time-stamped PID values in a simple Comma Separated Values (CSV) format that can be readily imported into popular data analysis or spreadsheet applications. (Output to an SQLite3 database file is also available). It is written in Perl, so it runs in any computing environment with a working Perl interpreter. The program supports scantools that are based on the ELM Electronics ELM327 or OBD Solutions STN1110 programmed microcontrollers. It has been tested with scantools using legacy RS-232 serial, serial over USB, and Bluetooth hardware interfaces. Perl OBD-II Logger even runs on the popular Raspberry Pi computer!
GBTiler, a Gerber circuit board tiling program allows engineers, electronics hobbyists and other users with Gerber RS274X format files to "tile" or combine separate Gerber files -- circuit boards -- into a single, valid Gerber formatted file.
This project is for maintaining a linux system that concentrates on math, logic, and geometry related softwares.

The Introspector enables the programming tools that deal with source code such as the compiler to communicate in a standard and neutral manner reducing the accidental cost of programming. http://github.com/h4ck3rm1k3/
genome-wide computational identification of phasiRNAs
Phase siRNAs (phasiRNAs) are a class of small RNAs, which triggered by miRNA-targeted cleavage and followed by DCL4-mediated production of small RNAs phased in 21-nt increments. Here, we introduce PhaseTank to systematically characterize 'miRNA → mRNA → tasiRNA → target genes' regulatory casacades in plants. With one command analysis, PhaseTank is an easy-to-use software for users.
Detecting low-level mutations by utilizing the re-sequencing error profile of the data
FcaStone (named in analogy to "Rosetta Stone") is a tool that translates between different Formal Concept Analysis file formats, as used by ToscanaJ, Galicia, and Conexp, and commonly used graph editors. (See the project website for details.)
In addition to RPKM (Reads Per Kbp per Million reads) values, RACKJ computes read counts for exons and splicing events. In so doing, it is feasible to compare two samples and identify genes with most significant difference in exon(splicing)-level.
(OBSOLETE) trace_utils is a program for processing sequencing trace data. The main goal of this program is to provide a completely free software in detecting SNPs like what polyphred has done, but with even higher accuracy and more flexibility.
The gpstoolbox project provides a portable Garmin GPS (Global Positioning System) interface library and associated utilities to support creating, transfering, and processing of route, track log, waypoint, and PVT data. Supported platforms include Linux,
