Open source observatory control software
RTS2 is project to create an open source environment for control of a fully autonomous observatory. It is running about dozen fully autonomous observatories. Its modular design allow easily addition of new devices (to already huge supported HW list).
Space Science library for Python - contains superposed epoch classes, drift shell tracing, access to magnetic field models, streamline tracing, bootstrap confidence limits, time and coordinate conversions, etc.
L.E.I.C.A. (Long Exposure Internet CAmera) is an application that takes input from your webcam, or v4l2 device, and makes a long-exposure image. Until now there's only a python binding for this app, soon there will be a C/C++ SDL one
Application for logging, planning, and searching astronomy observations. Written in Python/Tkinter with support for xmlrpc/SOAP as a secondary goal.
DIANE -- Distributed Analysis Environment for Parallel Scientific Applications. Keywords: middleware, Master Worker Workflow Manager, GRID.
GIRAFFE Data Reduction Software
GIRAFFE Base Line Data Reduction Software is a set of python scripts and modules and a C library to reduce FITS images produced by the Very Large Telescope (VLT) FLAMES instrument.
Toolbox for high-level analysis of astronomical gamma-ray data
GammaLib is a versatile toolbox for the high-level analysis of astronomical gamma-ray data. It consists of a C++ library and a Python module that exposes the full functionality of the library to Python. The library provides an abstract data analysis framework that is independent of any specific gamma-ray telescope. Instrument specific aspects, such as handling of data formats and response functions, are implemented as isolated and well defined modules sharing an identical abstract interface. This enables a joint multi-instrument analysis of data, allowing for consistent broad-band spectral fitting or imaging. So far, GammaLib supports analysis of data obtained with COMPTEL, Fermi/LAT, and Cherenkov telescopes (CTA, H.E.S.S., MAGIC, VERITAS). Except for HEASARC's cfitsio library that is used to implement the FITS interface, GammaLib does not rely on any third-party software. All functionalities are implemented natively.
KAstrometry is a Astrometry program for the KDE Desktop Environment. It aims to be a good tool to make measurements of objects in space from images taken by CCD cameras. Such measurements might be used to find orbits of astroids.
The MeqTree project provides a modelling, simulation and calibration toolkit aimed at (but not exclusive to) radioastronomical applications.
NTuple is a Python module used by high-energy physicists and astrophysicists to easily and efficiently access ntuple data stored in large ROOT data stores. Specifically, NTuple provides a friendly Pythonic interface to TNtuples and TTrees stored in TFiles
IRAF image server for Mac OS X (pure Cocoa).
PyXPA is a Python interface to the XPA library (http://hea-www.harvard.edu/RD/xpa/ developed by the SAO/HEAD R&D Group (http://hea-www.harvard.edu/RD/)).
Python Arrays is a project to reimplement the existing Python Numeric module which adds the ability to efficiently manipulate large numeric arrays in ways similar to Matlab and IDL.
Sparrow is a package for single-dish astronomical data-reduction developed by the National Radio Astronomy Observatory.

Set of scripts to perform galaxy photometry simulations.
This project contains a set of python scripts to perform SExtractor galaxy photometry simulations. It uses Galfit to simulate the galaxies and SExtractor for the photometry. It is defined to be used also with distributed computing and with Condor. No very well documented yet. Developed for my PhD.
klathon is an environment in which you can switch between the two languages: Python and CLASS (CLASS is a famous software for astronomy). You can program in one language and switch to the other halfway, thus heavily enhance CLASS's controlling ability.
Open source development of a tool for the astronomy community to interact with the GRB Coordinates Network (GCN) broadcast of real-time gamma-ray burst (GRB) and X-ray Flash (XRF) information. Support for satellite packets: HETE-2, Integral, Swift
UTS: Unified Telescope System. A modular system for controlling astronomical observatories.
