A multi-modeling and simulation environment to study complex systems
VLE is a multi-modeling and simulation environment to study complex dynamic systems. VLE is based on the discrete event specification DEVS. and it implements the DSDE formalism (A merge of Dynamic Structure DEVS, DSDEVS, with Parallel DEVS, PDEVS). VLE provides a complete set of C++ libraries, called VFL (VLE Foundation Libraries), to develop DEVS models, to gets results of simulations, to launch simulation on cluster. The models can be developed with the DEVS formalism or with the classical mathematical formalism: Ordinary Differential Equation with Euler, Range-Kutta or QSS integrator, Finite state automaton (FDDEVS, UML State chart, Hybrid Petri net). The VLE environment provides an IDE to develop C++ models, DEVS coupled models. VLE have also three ports to use the VFL with Python, Java and R programming languages.

Virtual Sound Level Meter for analyzing calibrated sound files
This project is the MATLAB development of a virtual sound level meter. The program will read in a calibrated .wav file and allow the user to analyze it as one would analyze a sound field with a sound level meter. The software implements Fast, Slow, Impulse and LEQ; A, C and Flat Weighting; Ln and Noise Dose analysis; Octave and 1/3 Octave band analysis; high resolution FFT analysis and spectrograms. Band analysis can be made using fast FFT methods or slower, but ANSI standard methods. Source code requires MATLAB + Signal Processing Toolbox. Developed under MATLAB R2010a (but might work with some earlier versions) Executable version does not require MATLAB and runs under Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7.
PriEsT is a decision making tool for Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP).
Priorty Estimation Tool (PriEsT) is a decision analysis tool. You can use it for ranking the options you have, or alternatively, you may use it for resource allocation (budgeting) problems. In PriEsT, you enter a list of available options and then define your criteria for prioritization. After defining criteria, PriEsT allows you to enter your judgements against each criterion, which are then used to calculate the final ranking (or weights). Please cite this if you find it useful:- Siraj, S., Mikhailov, L. and Keane, J. A. (2015), "PriEsT: an interactive decision support tool to estimate priorities from pairwise comparison judgments". Pinguino is an electronics prototyping platform. It supports different 8- and 32-bit ©Microchip microcontrollers, all with built-in USB module. Pinguino comes with a USB Bootloader, a small program running inside the microcontroller which is responsible for transferring your application from your PC to the microcontroller memory and handing over the control to this program afterwards. No programmer is then needed, only a USB cable and a PC. Pinguino is also an Integrated Development Environement (IDE) which gives everyone the ability to write, compile and upload programs on a Pinguino board.
TASSEL is a bioinformatics software package
TASSEL is a bioinformatics software package that can analyze diversity for sequences, SNPs, or SSRs. Genotype/phenotype associations can be carried out by GLM or a mixed model. Estimates distance and linkage disequilibrium statistics.
Variant detection in next-generation sequencing data
Variant detection in massively parallel sequencing. For one sample, calls SNPs, indels, and consensus genotypes. For tumor-normal pairs, further classifies each variant as Germline, Somatic, or LOH, and also detects somatic copy number changes.

C++/C library to construct Excel .xls files in code.
A multiplatform C++ library for dynamic generation of Excel .xls files containing multiple worksheets. Unlike .csv files, these can be directly opened by Excel and thus provide an excellent way to output large data sets that require further analysis. To see the latest changes, select "Files" and view the README text displayed at the bottom of that pane. IMPORTANT: Major changes are contained in the current SVN source. If you have time please try to use it or the xlslib-package-2.4.0b1.zip archive, and enter bug reports on any problems! Changes: - library specific strings now in their own namespace - iOS Objective-C library - most project files updated (MSVS etc) - C bridge now supports formulas Note: there is a related SF project, libxls, to read Excel files.

A Portable General-Purpose Computer Algebra System
REDUCE is an interactive system for general algebraic computations of interest to mathematicians, scientists and engineers. It can be used interactively for simple calculations but also provides a flexible and expressive user programming language. The development of the REDUCE computer algebra system was started in the 1960s by Anthony C. Hearn. Since then, many scientists from all over the world have contributed to its development. REDUCE has a long and distinguished place in the history of computer algebra systems. Other systems that address some of the same issues but sometimes with rather different emphasis are Axiom, Derive, Macsyma (Maxima), Maple, Mathematica and MuPAD. REDUCE primarily runs on either Portable Standard Lisp (PSL) or Codemist Standard Lisp (CSL), both of which are included in the SourceForge distribution. By modern standards, REDUCE is a surprisingly small and compact application, which runs well on all major operating systems.
