An attempt to create a competitive new package for management of a veterinary practice. Goals are to have a solid and robust internal structure and an extremely efficient, attractive, and intuitive user interface.

Code written in Python finds the best possible schedule for volunteers while incorporating constrains and special requirements using CP-SAT Solver (Constraint Programming - boolean SATisfiability problem Solver). Java version is in development. The problem Arranging volunteers for a helpline service for the period of one month. There are three types of work that could be done on the same day: Phone shift: Every day. Chat shift: Mondays and Wednesdays. Observer shift: Any day. Constraints: Properties of each volunteer: Available days. Function: doing phone, chat, both or observation for training purposes. Maximum amount of weekend shifts. Whether their shifts have to be on separate weeks. Whether they welcome observers. Whether they want to work alone. Whether they cannot yet work alone. List of people they do not want to work with.

khal is a standards based CLI and terminal calendar application. Because it can read and write events/icalendars to vdir, it is able to synchronize calendars with a variety of other programs, such as CalDAV servers, through vdirsyncer. khal offers a simple, traditional calendar view and events/ to-do lists with fast and easy ways to add new events. It also offers the option of browsing and editing calendars and events through ikhal (interactive khal). khal works with all major operating systems except for Microsoft Windows.

pyphoon is a small command-line program that renders the current Moon phase as detailed ASCII art directly in your terminal. It computes lunar ephemerides for a given date and location, then maps the illuminated portion onto characters to approximate shading with surprising fidelity. The tool supports showing past or future phases, so you can visualize how the Moon will look on specific dates without opening a browser or an app. It’s intentionally minimal: no GUI, no heavy dependencies, just a quick way to check illumination, age, and phase names in text form. Because it runs cross-platform and works over SSH, it’s popular among terminal enthusiasts and sysadmins who live in the command line.
