ScanTWAIN is an Open Source TWAIN production quality scanning application based on QT 3.x. ScanTWAIN allows for duplex scanning from automatic document feeder (ADF) based scanners via TWAIN.

scanbd is a scanner button daemon. It polls the scanner buttons looking for buttons pressed or function knob changes or other scanner events as paper inserts / removals and at the same time allows also scan-applications to access the scanners. If buttons are pressed, etc., various actions can be submitted (scan, copy, email, ...) via action scripts. The function knob values are passed to the action-scripts as well. Scan actions are also signaled via dbus. This can be useful for foreign applications. Scans can also be triggered via dbus from foreign applications. On platforms which support signaling of dynamic device insertion / removal (libudev, dbus, hal) scanbd supports this as well. scanbd can use all sane-backends or some special backends from the (old) scanbuttond project. Supported platforms: Linux, FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD

Scanner Copier scans multiple pages in Windows and prints them as a single document. This can be used in conjunction with PDFCreator in order to make PDF files from scanned documents similar to other 'scan to PDF' software.

https://formread.org FormRead is a completely free OMR (optical mark recognition) web software for scanning and grading user-filled, multiple choice forms. Create your formats with any of your office or drawing tools, scan them and parameterize their coordinates in an easy way. Once you have parameterized your form, you can print many of them, give it to your students/respondents, scan and recognize them with formread, and you can finally export the data in your preferred formats (excel, pdf, csv)

A simple GUI frontend for scanning documents into PDF format. Utilizes scanimage, ps2pdf, pnmflip, and pnmtops commands. Automatically detects scanners avaliable on system. Developed on Linux but might work on other platforms with some tweaking.

The Photo, Image and Video Organization Tool - Pivot - is a tool for the first step of the image (and video) processing tool chain. Pivot can organize your images from the hard drive or directly from the camera. It allows you to specify destination folders and filename patterns for the copying process. This is a non-official driver, written in C, for the FPS200 Veridicom's fingerprint sensor with the USB interface. It is also compatible with the Fujitsu's MBF200 fingerprint capture device.
