    cargo-crev

    cargo-crev

A cryptographically verifiable code review system for the cargo

A cryptographically verifiable code review system for the cargo (Rust) package manager. cargo-crev is an implementation of Crev as a command-line tool integrated with cargo. This tool helps Rust users evaluate the quality and trustworthiness of their package dependencies. Crev is a language and ecosystem agnostic, distributed code review system. Use reviews produced by other users. Increase the trustworthiness of your own code. Build a web of trust of other reputable users to help verify the code you use. Static binaries are available from the releases page. Crev is a system for verifying the security and reliability of dependencies based on collaborative code reviews. Crev users review the source code of packages/libraries/crates and share their findings with others. Crev then uses Web of Trust to select trusted reviews and judge the reputation of projects' dependencies.

    gptcommit

    gptcommit

A git prepare-commit-msg hook for authoring commit messages with GPT-3

A git prepare-commit-msg hook for authoring commit messages with GPT-3. With this tool, you can easily generate clear, comprehensive and descriptive commit messages letting you focus on writing code. To use gptcommit, simply run git commit as you normally would. The hook will automatically generate a commit message for you using a large language model like GPT. If you're not satisfied with the generated message, you can always edit it before committing. By default, gptcommit uses the GPT-3 model. Please ensure you have sufficient credits in your OpenAI account to use it. Commit messages are a key channel for developers to communicate their work with others, especially in code reviews. When making complex code changes, it can be tedious to thoroughly document the contents of each change. I often felt the impulse to just title my commit “fix bug” and move on. Surfacing these changes with gptcommit helps the author and reviewer by bringing attention to these additional changes.

    libsignal

    libsignal

Home to the Signal Protocol and other cryptographic primitives

libsignal is the foundational cryptographic library that implements the Signal Protocol and other essential primitives used across the official Signal clients and servers, enabling secure end-to-end encrypted communication. Written primarily in Rust with bindings and APIs surfaced for Java, Swift, and TypeScript, this library encapsulates critical algorithms like the Double Ratchet, prekey mechanisms, secure key storage, and zero-knowledge group primitives, along with additional utilities for media handling and device key transfer. libsignal abstracts complex cryptographic constructions into reusable components that client applications can adopt to ensure forward secrecy, authentication, and integrity without re-implementing core security logic. Although its primary use is within the Signal ecosystem, its documentation and exposed interfaces allow developers to explore modern secure messaging primitives or use pieces of the protocol in experimental applications.

    quiche

    quiche

Savoury implementation of the QUIC transport protocol and HTTP/3

Cloudflare quiche is an open-source Rust implementation of the QUIC transport protocol and HTTP/3 designed to give developers a performant, flexible foundation for building modern networked applications and services, especially where low latency and efficient multiplexed streams matter. It is a “sans-io” library, meaning it implements the core QUIC and HTTP/3 state machines and logic without assuming how input/output should be done, so applications remain responsible for socket handling, event loops, timers, and other system-dependent I/O work. This design choice makes quiche highly adaptable: it can be used in custom servers, clients, proxies, embedded systems, and experimental protocols with QUIC’s features like 0-RTT, connection migration, and built-in encryption.
