A shallow fork of https://github.com/valter1977/Pertable/ with all goodies from upstream and most flaws/bugs by me. The Periotic Table of Chemical Elements has been implemented at upstream by Valter Kiisk https://kodu.ut.ee/~kiisk/pertable/pertable.htm and its technology is HTML+CSS+JavaScript. The JavaScript downloads data at runtime, so a HTTP server is needed to view that table of chemical elements. The HTTP server has been bundled to this project. -

Slength
returns the length of user supplied strings
I wrote Slength while working on my SQL Final project--you see, in an SQL database when you want to store a string of text in a field you have to declare the field's type as a varchar and give it a maximum length; I wrote slength to help me figure out how long I would need to set any given varchar field. Slength was originally written in Perl, then rewritten in Python, and is now currently developed in Ruby. -

This is a way of creating virtual libraries. I catalogue the books (or DVDs etc.) that I have. My friends do the same. As well as allowing me to organise myself easily is also means that if I'm after a book I can easily find which of my friends has it.
