Ant Colony Optimization algorithm for the shortest path problem.
The shortest path problem is solved by many methods. Heuristics offer lower complexity in expense of accuracy. There are many use cases where the lower accuracy is acceptable in return of lower consumption of computing resources. The basic idea of the Ant System is that virtual ants are exploited for finding paths with a specific property, e.g., short distance between physical nodes, in the same way nature guides physical ants. -

A port forwarding app written in Java that lets you easily forward UDP ports and TCP ports with advanced options, including by setting limits/restrictions and flipping between protocols as data is forwarded somewhere else. A significant gain in execution time is observed when compared to CPU. jTCPfwd started as a simple Java command line tool to forward TCP ports. Lots of other features are added, for example for forwarding TCP connections over reverse TCP connections, UDP/HTTP tunnelling or writing files to a network share.

J-X-Way UNI-TE
Java library for X-Way and/or UNI-TE communication.
PROJECT HAS MOVED HERE: https://github.com/Elektordi/x-way-uni-te X-Way and UNI-TE (also used in Unitelway) are communication protocols for old Schneider Electrics PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), formerly "Modicon Télémécanique". The aim of this open-source project is to create a Java library to send and receive such data, because there is actually no open-source project at all in this field. Keep in mind that those protocols are old and not maintained anymore by any company, but still used in many old PLCs installations.
