The Robot Application Programming Interface Delegate (RAPID) is a software reference implementation for remote operations. It promotes interoperability between robot software modules. RAPID includes a standard “API” and data distribution middleware.
Depending on a SICK lasescan and a created environment landscape a routing function will be implemented to give a robot a few waypoint to drive from a start point to a choosen destination.
The MCLA Robotics project comprises a Java based platform for robotics applicationdevelopment. It is being developed by the physics department at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in North Adams, Massachusetts.
