VICE is an emulator collection which emulates the C64, the C64-DTV, the C128, the VIC20, practically all PET models, the PLUS4 and the CBM-II (aka C610). It runs on Unix, MS-DOS, Win32, OS/2, Acorn RISC OS, BeOS, QNX 6.x, Amiga, GP2X or Mac OS X machines.

ACME is a free cross assembler released under the GNU GPL. It can produce code for the following processors: 6502, 6510 (including illegal opcodes), 65c02 and 65816. ACME supports the standard assembler stuff like global/local/anonymous labels, offset assembly, conditional assembly and looping assembly. It can include other source files as well as binaries while assembling. Calculations can be done in integer or float mode. Oh, and it is fast.

CRC RevEng is a portable, arbitrary-precision CRC calculator and algorithm finder. It calculates CRCs using any of the 113 preset algorithms, or a user-specified algorithm to any width. It calculates reversed CRCs to give the bit pattern that produces a desired forward CRC. CRC RevEng also reverse-engineers any CRC algorithm from sufficient correctly formatted message-CRC pairs and optional known parameters. It comprises powerful input interpretation options. Compliant with Ross Williams' Rocksoft(tm) model of parametrised CRC algorithms.

OSLib is a set of functions and C headers to provide complete coverage of the RISC OS application programmer's interface in C. It provides access from C code to all RISC OS system calls (SWIs) which is efficient, type-safe, and obvious.

CrossBrowdy is a free and open-source JavaScript framework that allows to create multimedia apps, emulators, game engines and games that will be compatible with any device. Any software developed with CrossBrowdy should be able to be used in any JavaScript compatible web client (including browser plug-in, add-on, extension, app...) which supports "document.getElementById". This framework allows any developer to manage easier many different things, such as audio (with Flash fallback, audio pool, etc.), canvas (with DHTML, VML, Flash or Silverlight fallbacks), screen, mouse, keyboard, gamepads, sockets (including PHP proxy fallback), XHR / AJAX (with PHP proxy for cross-domain requests), device sensors (compass / magnetometer, gyroscope, accelerometer, light sensor, proximity sensor...) and many more.

Fireworkz combines the features of Wordz (a word processor that you can use to write letters, reports, books, invitations, shopping lists, schedules and other documents) and Resultz (a spreadsheet that you can use to perform calculations, analyse figures, and produce colourful charts) enabling you to do even more; incorporate live results in your reports, or perform an automatic mail-merge to your friends or customers. LayerFS is a RISC OS image filing system. A LayerFS directory constructs itself from several source directories, where objects in the 'lower' directories are overlaid by objects of the same name in the 'higher' directories.

NetSurf is an open-source web browser for RISC OS and UNIX-like operating systems. Its aim is to bring HTML 4 and CSS technologies to the RISC OS platform.

Nettle is *the* terminal emulator and telnet client for the RISC OS operating system. It utilises the ZapRedraw module for speedy display and is a fast, clean native implementation.

PipeDream 4 can be used for word processing: to create letters, reports, invitations, film scripts and books. You can also use PipeDream 4 as a spreadsheet: to create ledgers, simple shopping lists, complex scientific models and cash flow forecasts. You can even use PipeDream 4 as a database for storing parts lists, names and addresses, details of personal collections and mark sheets. PipeDream 4 requires RISC OS 3.1 or later to run. If you only have RISC OS 2.0 or 2.01, PipeDream 3 is the one for you.

Printers+ is an enhanced front-end for the RISC OS Printing system. Printers+ provides a number of enhanced features over the standard RISC OS Printers application, including support for remote network printers, and some advanced printer features.

A general purpose desktop tool. It allows the user to customise their desktop by creating menus of useful commands and icons to attach the menus to. Any number of menus or icons can be created and attached in any order to each other.

Pluto is an email and newsgroup reader for the RISC OS operating system (see https://www.riscosopen.org/), developed by Jonathan Duddington from 1997 to 2004. It stores emails and news articles in Boxes, and they can be Listed, Viewed, Written, Spell checked, Replied to, Searched and even Spoken out loud! After Pluto was released under GPLv3 here on SourceForge in 2013, it has had many improvements. Pluto runs on any version of RISC OS later than v3.10, including RISC OS 5 computers such as the Raspberry Pi, BeagleBoard, IGEPv5, Iyonix, PandaBoard, Wandboard, PineA64 and Titanium as well as the older Risc PC and Archimedes series. From v3.16 onwards the RISC OS version of eSpeak is not included in the Pluto download, but separately in the Files espeak directory. The espeak project itself is on https://espeak.sourceforge.net/ but seems currently dormant.
