A flashcard-based memorization aid for GNOME
iGNUit is a memorization aid based on the Leitner flashcard system. It has a GNOME look and feel, a good selection of quiz options, and supports UTF-8. Cards can include embedded audio, images, and mathematical formulae (via LaTeX). It can import and export several file formats, including CSV. iGNUit can be used for both long-term learning and cramming. -

Poludnitsa is a free exam/quiz platform. I wrote it because I needed a simple and robust platform to test a bunch of people. Poludnitsa is a CGI application, therefore it requires a web server (like Apache, nginx, etc). It's primarily written (and runs) on Linux platforms, however, being written in pure ANSI C makes it easily portable to virtually any platform. A quiz program for the Palm OS to be used as a study aid for learning Japanese. One of its highlights is the written Kanji recognition engine. Intentions are to merge it with a dictionary to provide an all encompassing learning tool.
