    Astrape

    Optical-packet node transceiver frequency allocation

...Then, configuration of the local transceiver laser frequencies of the controlled pluggable devices takes place, for facilitating the connectivity in-between the ROADM network. Also, the agent records and reports back telemetry data (feedback) which is used by the PacketCTL's resource-allocating mechanism to improve efficiency within the network topology.

    LaserBlast

    A Laser Cannon Strategy Game

Why did I write this program, and why in Python? Well there were really two reasons. First I wanted to quickly test various game rules and strategies. Python and pygames made prototyping quick and easy. This is actually about the twentieth version of the game. Second I wanted to try the new match/case statements that were added in Python 3.10. I found lots of uses for match/case and I really like it.

    Snakes of Apocalypse

    Snakes of Apocalypse

Snakes of Apocalypse is a funny multiplayer game

... - hourglass: other players are immobilized. - speedup: player moves 1.5x faster. Weapons: - acid ball: limited distance, can kill multiple enemies with single shot - laser: shoot through whole level distance, can destroy obstacles! Environment: - bomb items: bombs appear randomly, exploding after few seconds. Strike radius increases with each explosion. There are two language versions: English (default) and Polish (if polish locale is detected). Joypads are supported and automatically detected (PS2, PS4, Xbox360, possibly others), only one player can use keyboard, rest must use joypads. ...

    forest01

    Automatic delineation of forest borderlines

Forest01 is a tool for the automatic mapping of forest based on Airborne Laser Scanner data. The forest mapping is performed by means of quantitative criteria typical of forest definitions, namely minimum threshold for the height of trees, canopy cover, forest area size and width.

    Pytonis Universalis - Shmup

A ridiculously simple spaceship shoot 'em up game written in Python

...It is written completely in Python and uses Pygame so the code is as accessible as possible for others to inspect. The idea should be easy enough for anyone to understand: try to avoid running into flying saucers and their laser beams by shooting them down before they shoot you down. Every time you destroy a flying saucer you get points. Points are nice, you want them.

    Ablator

A tool for automating laser ablations for neuroscience

Ablator is a suite of software that automates the microscopic detection of cell targets and also directs a 2-photon microscope to lesion these targets in arbitrary patterns for neuroscience research. See Hayes et al 2012 for an example of its usage (http://www.pnas.org/content/109/21/8286.abstract).

Use the various light reflecting/refracting tools, like mirrors, prisms and splitters, to guide the laser beam to light all the lightbulbs in a level. Avoid directing the laser beam onto bombs as that will force a level restart.

    SLM-Topo

    SLM-Topo

Topology optimisation designed for laser based additive manufacturing

In the selective laser melting process (SLM), components are built up layer by layer by incremental melting of metal powder with a laser beam. This process leads to locally inhomogeneous material properties of the manufactured components. By integrating these specific material properties of the SLM-process into a topology optimization, product developers can be supported in the design process by simulation.
