An object-oriented framework for the development of instrument drivers
pyhard2 is an object-oriented framework to help in the development of instrument drivers. pyhard2 is proposed as an alternative to LabVIEW. Emphasis is given on serial drivers but the framework can be used with any socket. The source also contains the implementation of a PID controller and a setpoint ramp generator. The instrument drivers may further be incorporated in a GUI, using, e.g. PyQt or PySide. Threading is automatically taken care of. Furthermore, generic GUI (called controllers) are provided and can be extended. -

Multi-categorization Recommendation Adjusting (MRA) is to optimize the results of recommendation based on traditional(basic) recommendation models, through introducing objective category information and taking use of the feature that users always get the habits of preferring certain categories. Besides this, there are two advantages of this improved model: 1) it can be easily applied to any kind of existing recommendation models. And 2) a controller is set in this improved model to provide controllable adjustment range, which thereby makes it possible to provide optional modes of recommendation aiming different kinds of users. -

PyDPF - A Digital Picture Frame Application to be used as MPD client and/or standard DPF that is controlled via a LIRC device i.e. infrared based remote controller. As user interface for graphical output a Appotech AX206 DPF can be configured, hence this application is designed for embedded linux devices without standard monitor. A virtual QT based DPF e.g. for test purposes is available,too. PyDPF is running fine on my RasperryPi. Please look at AudiculaPi project (https://sourceforge.net/projects/audiculapi). -

3D tracking of 4 IR LEDs using 2 wiimotes and python
...The mini project involves the control of an articulated robotic arm which resembles a human arm. The control is done via tele-manipulation which is done by the tracking of 4 IR LEDs fixed at the joints of the controller arm. This code is the part of the project responsible for the interfacing with the wiimote, stereo-triangulation of the wiimote data and determining the 3D coordinates of the IR LEDs. -
