    GeoNotebook

    GeoNotebook

A Jupyter notebook extension for geospatial visualization and analysis

...Users can execute Python geospatial analysis and immediately visualize results on slippy web maps, allowing them to explore, annotate, and interpret large spatial datasets without leaving the notebook. GeoNotebook bridges the gap between data science workflows and GIS exploration by combining the flexibility of interactive notebooks with browser-based map display driven by a Python backend and WebGL/Canvas tools. It supports workflows that include map reprojection, layer interaction, and tile serving, which are essential for real world geoscience and environmental analysis.

    MacPassGen

    MacPassGen

Password generator for Mac OS X written in Objective Python.

There are many password management applications out there, but they all lack a password generator which can create passwords a human can remember easily. PassGen fills this gap with a wide variety of possible password it can create. Among passwords consisting of random letters, numbers and punctuations it can also generate mnemonic passwords consisting of words, numbers and punctuations. These kind of password are also hard to guess, but much more easy to remember for a human brain.

    wmtsa-python

Discrete wavelet methods for time series analysis using python

Several python libraries implement discrete wavelet transforms. However, none of them, or at least none that I know, is aimed at scientific use. This library aims at filling this gap, in particular considering discrete wavelet transform as described by Percival and Walden. This module started as translation of the wmtsa Matlab toolbox (http://www.atmos.washington.edu/~wmtsa/), so most naming conventions and most of the code structure follows their choices. The code uses a mix of python and cython for improved performance. ...

    xPyder PyMOL Plugin

Analyze and visualize coupled residues and their networks in proteins

...PSN), and more, to produce highly customizable publication-quality images. xPyder identifies networks (using concepts from graph theory, such as hubs and shortest path searching), compares matrices and focuses the analysis on relevant information by filtering the data using a modular, user-expandable plugin system that takes advantage of structural and dynamical information, contributing to bridge the gap between dynamical and mechanical properties at the molecular level.

    Everpad

    Everpad

Evernote client well integrated with linux desktop

...It also supports note attachments, notebooks, and tags, so you can organize content in the same way you do on official Evernote clients. Because it plugs into the desktop search, you can surface notes alongside local files for faster retrieval. It was created to fill the gap for Linux users who didn’t have an official Evernote client but still wanted a smooth, native-like experience.

    intelligence

    intelligence

What happens if you cross artificial intelligence with 3D

...Usually many operations in 3D workflow are highly redundant and often actions have to be repeated several times or instead being executed in self-made scripts.Scripting is in fact for most people a very nasty and time consuming action. This application module tries to fill the gap where it learns workflows which can in order be modified, multiplied, adapted organically to allow a fast and versatile Workflows, where currently rigid working habits will not Compete. ...also making scripting finally obsolete. currently the development is started with Autodesk Maya. More 3D platforms will come after this project is succeeding.

trimAl can consider several parameters, alone or in multiple combinations, in order to select the most-reliable positions in the alignment. These include the proportion of sequences with a gap, the level of residue similarity and, if several alignments for the same set of sequences are provided, the consistency level of columns among alignments. Moreover, trimAl allows to manually select a set of columns and sequences to be removed from the alignment. trimAl implements a series of automated algorithms that trim the alignment searching for optimum thresholds based on inherent characteristics of the input alignment, to be used so that the signal-to-noise ratio after alignment trimming phase is increased. ...
