yapsnmp is a PythonSNMP module built on top of the net-snmp (formerly known as ucd-snmp) library. It offers SNMP version 1 and 2c (v3 soon to come) as well as full MIB parsing.
This project is to continue the (long-stalled) development of SNMPY - an
interface between UCD-SNMP and Python. As well as the basic C interface,
there's a variety of higher-level layers on top of the code.
This tool can be used to create a GNS3/Dynamips replica of a real network by simply connecting to the network and using SNMP. Please see the instructions in the wiki.
