Unique 3D slider puzzle that looks like a rubics cube.
...After a randomization, the goal is to restore the cube to its original configuration based on color and alphabetic hints. Written in Ada and compiles on Windows, OS-X or GNU/Linux. Nice laptop controls and support for Mac Retina displays. Requires OpenGL v3.3, and on Macs a recent version of OS-X. Now with mouse wheel zoom (2-finger swipe on MacBooks). Includes a smaller 2x2x2 version called SevenSlider. Works on Windows, Macs running OS-X and PCs running GNU/Linux. The proper command to extract the archive and maintain the directory structure is "7z x filename". -

A tool to help you design crosswords by hand, though there are automated functions to suggest words, or even fill in grids. You create a grid, add clues by hand, then use the cut and paste tools to transfer to a wordprocessing or other desktop publishing package. So a nice tool for education, if you're running a club magazine or parish newsletter, or similar use. You can transfer files in the semi-standard xpf format, supported by some other crossword-editing software. There's also a completely portable random crossword generator. It's an independent program, but shares a lot of code with Crossword Designer. -

Simple game where you guess the word that's common between 4 pictures
PicsX4 is a 4 pics one-word game where you try to find a particular word that is common to the four given pictures. The challenge becomes harder with each new level. The available letters are shown at the bottom of the screen. The letters need to be added manually. It is possible to get a hint or ask a friend for help and both require a coin currency. Hints include exposing a letter, removing letters, and solving the question right away. -

Original version was coded for Abbuc SW compo 2013 in 16 hours and it contained around 20 levels. Game took 4th place at compo. Later I decided to expand game with new elements and Jason Kendall designed almost all (200+) new levels that are included in XXL edition. -

an implementation of the classic 3x3x3 cube
Cubist lets you intuitive take control over the classic 3x3x3 cube, via mouse or keyboard. Several moves to solve the cube are included, as well as some nice patterns, a shuffle function and a (straightforward) complete solution. The graphics are simple but nice and self explaining. The default keys are customisable. -
