Athens provides a server for Go Modules that you can run. It serves public code and your private code for you, so you don’t have to pull directly from a version control system (VCS) like GitHub or GitLab. There are many reasons why you’d want a proxy server such as security and performance. Athens is a project building on top of vgo (or go1.11+) trying to bring dependencies closer to you so you can count on repeatable builds even at a time when VCS is down.
a basic example virtual disk c# .net proxy application and driver.
...We have a user interface combined Server-Client Application written in C# .Net which binds with the driver to build a file backed Virtual Disk Drive. The C# .Net Application is the Core Proxy Server, and it uses the Driver to run a Virtual Disk Drive through it. Almost all necessary code is completed, so you can download and run it. All the code including the kernel driver is included in this repository.
Please note that the work is in progress. Necessary code has been completed. There might be bugs, so you may inform them to me or fix them yourself.

Jupyter notebook server extension to proxy web services.
Jupyter Server Proxy lets you run arbitrary external processes (such as RStudio, Shiny Server, Syncthing, PostgreSQL, Code Server, etc) alongside your notebook server and provide authenticated web access to them using a path like /rstudio next to others like /lab. Alongside the Python package that provides the main functionality, the JupyterLab extension (@jupyterhub/jupyter-server-proxy) provides buttons in the JupyterLab launcher window to get to RStudio for example.
