Simulation of water waves on the X Windows desktop. Windows and mouse are like ships on the sea. Each movement of these ends up in moving water waves. You can even have rain and/or storm stirring up the water.
This project now lives at https://github.com/dwvisser/jam-daq-code/
Jam is an easy-to-use self-contained data acquisition and analysis system for VME-based (or CAMAC-based) nuclear physics experiments. Jam has an easy, standard GUI for taking and sorting multi-parameter event-based data into 1-d and 2-d histograms.
With up to 25k MAUs and unlimited Okta connections, our Free Plan lets you focus on what you do best—building great apps.
You asked, we delivered! Auth0 is excited to expand our Free and Paid plans to include more options so you can focus on building, deploying, and scaling applications without having to worry about your security. Auth0 now, thank yourself later.
Maximum Likelihood fitting programme using ROOT and RooFit
A maximum likelihood fitting package based on ROOT/RooFit for HEP. The fitting is driven by a text file and includes the following main options: 1) fitting, plotting and extraction of PDFs; 2) fitting of maximum likelihood models; 3) creation of projection and sPlot plots; 4) scanning about maximum likelihood minima; 5) combination of maximum likelihood curves with systematic errors for extraction of significance and combined errors; 6) toy studies; 7) means and pulls on fitted...
InterferenceSimulator is a program demonstrating quantal two-slit Fresnel interference patterns with one, the other, or both slits open. A magnetic flux situated between the two slits allows demonstration of the Aharonov–Bohm effect. Simulations with short de Broglie wavelengths illustrate the classical limit of quantum mechanics. Because of the universality of wave phenomena, this program can also demonstrate the geometrical-optics limit of wave optics for small wavelengths.
A electric, magnetic, and gravity field physics presentation program
BeamFlow is a scientific presentation and demonstration program for typical introductory physics problems involving electric, magnetic, and gravity fields in three dimensions. Real-time demonstration of the magnetic field around a wire, the gravity fields around rotating binary stars, and the electric field from multiple point charges are just some of the potential applications.
ephemeritis is to be a library for ephemeris calculations. When complete, it will provide an API for calculating the positions, the rise and set times, and related information about stars, planets, the Moon, and other astronomical objects.
Transform your applications and workflows into powerful agentic systems at global scale.
Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform lets you rapidly build, scale, govern and optimize production-ready agents grounded in your organization's data. The platform enables developers to build custom or pre-built agents for virtually any use case. New customers get $300 in free credits.
XDAQ is a software platform designed specifically for the development of distributed data acquisition systems. The development is carried out at CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research. Please visit http://xdaq.web.cern.ch
Magneticle is a 3D OpenGL physical simulation that applies the Biot-Savart law to charged particles operating inside a magnetic field produced by a current-carrying wire modeled as an arbitrary space curve.
Wcalc is a tool for the analysis and synthesis of electronic components. Some of the models include coupled microstrip lines, single layer air core solenoid inductors, etc. Wcalc can analyze the electrical parameters based on the physical dimensions a
A tool for people interested in Special Relativity. Can introduce you to some basics, as the transformations and the 4-vectors. Examples, illustrations and some exercises will be included. With some time, effort, and space on the desk, you can master it.
The Periodic Tables Package is an advanced suite of applications for both Windows and Linux that allow chemists and students alike to use the Periodic Table on their computers.
ea-fold is a platform to perform protein folding simulations by means of evolutionary algorithms. The program implements a parallelized distributed evolutionary algorithms and a flexible force field.
This library is a Fortran 95 gnuplot interface for some Unix like OS'es. This provides some routines that enables direct access of a child gnuplot session from a Fortran 95 program. You will need a copy of fortranposix to make this work.
Framework for blockstructured adaptive finite volume methods. Provides MPI-parallelized variant of the Berger-Oliger AMR algorithm for Beowulf-clusters. Uses Clawpack. Visualization and conversion tools for HDF4 files included.
The Delta code is an nonlinear aeroelastic solver written in fortran 90. At the moment
only vortex lattice aerodynamics is available but the hope is for a higher fidelity aerodynamic
model to be developed for use in the current code. Linux and Unix.
Webfem is a JAVA/XML Web application for numerical (FEM) simulations. The Web architecture allows sharing on cluster of computers and grid computing. The Obj. Oriented design allows the users to add new elements, shape functions, partial differ. equations
NTuple is a Python module used by high-energy physicists and astrophysicists to easily and efficiently access ntuple data stored in large ROOT data stores. Specifically, NTuple provides a friendly Pythonic interface to TNtuples and TTrees stored in TFiles
