    Python Laboratory Operations Toolkit

many useful snippets for using python in a laboratory

...Includes support for such protocols as VXI-11 (and its extension, LXI), Vernier LabPro (now very old), and National Instruments DSTP (now very old). Also includes data analysis and modelling tidbits. Python3 updates are on the way in the very near future for the biggest packages. the vxi11 package is fully up-to-date, although see the blog post about python 3.13

    DBRplot

    DBRplot

Plots reflectivity response of Distributed Braggs Reflector mirrors

A free windows software for designing and modelling of dielectric anti-reflection coating and Fabry-Perot cavity effects based on Distributed Braggs Reflector (DBR) mirrors. Read 'readme.txt' file before you use this application. Also, have a look at the "Fabry-Perot cavity" diagram to get a feel of the structure of your cavity. The code is written based on the Transfer Matrix Method for TE incidence.

    Acoustic Research Tool (ART)

    Acoustic Research Tool (ART)

Acoustic Simulation Library for Frequency and Time Domain Simulations.

ART is a flexible simulation framework for wind instruments. It includes a growing library of modelling elements. So far bore discontinuities, branches, tone holes, cylindrical and conical tubes, Bessel horns and bent tubes are available for frequency domain modelling. In the time domain generic bidirectional propagation elements, scattering elements, fractional delays, convolution with reflection functions and general z-domain networks are available and can be described using MuParserX expressions. ...

    pyLuminous

python modules for modelling some optical systems.

This project is a collection of python modules for modelling various optical systems. It presently consists of pyFresnel and pyQW. pyFresnel models optical properties of dielectric layers and includes a thin film model (unlike the many other codes out there this can also handle uniaxial layers as long as the optical axis is aligned with the stack growth direction). pyQW models very simple (n-doped) quantum well structures and their intersubband transitions.
