Open Source C Photo Editors

Pix is an image management application with image viewing, browsing, organizing and editing capabilities. It is part of the X-Apps project, which aims at producing cross-distribution and cross-desktop software. Pix supports numerous image types including: BMP, JPEG, GIF, PNG, TIFF, TGA, ICO and XPM; with optional support for RAW and HDR (high dynamic range) images. It is also able to view EXIF data attached to JPEG images. Pix has its own set of image editing tools that enable you to make color, hue, saturation, lightness and contrast adjustments, as well as a number of advanced tools such as slide shows, converting image format and more.

NOTE: Source code is no longer available. GeniuX® Photo EFX is a standalone software for photo editing and digital painting, powerful and easy to use. It can load RAW files of reflex digital cameras and is fully compatible with Adobe Photoshop. The previous version of this software counts more than 800.000 entries on Google search engine and is officially approved on Adobe Inc marketplace. Completely designed and produced in Italy, GeniuX® Photo EFX stands out for its 32 bit color graphic engine: it assures refined digital color gradations which allows to obtain bright prints of the highest quality, especially for skin color handling. The interface is conceived to highlight the most popular tools, for example black and white management, professional color processing, noise removal, photomontage and background removal.

Picture viewer/editor. It is intended mainly for quick and easy digital photos manipulation. Optimized for minimal amount of keypresses. Planned features include working with groups of pictures, undo/redo, Motion JPEG support.

Atar8 Tools is a collection Atari 8-bit related of command line tools for Posix compatible environments: - Franny is an ATR disk image editor. Supports AtariDOS II disk format (partially) and SpartaDos 2 disk format. - Yvonne is an Atari picture viewer / converter. - ZooEY is a cross assembler designed for 6502 processors. Binaries are generated specially for Atari 8-bit systems (AtariDOS II and SpartaDOS X formats supported). This tool is compatible with Quick Assembler, one of most popular assembler in Poland.

NKPaint is a raster image editing application. It is written in C/C++ and is based on CxImage/GDI+. It is similar to Microsoft Paint.
