...Apache PageSpeed is an effort undergoing incubation at The Apache Software Foundation (ASF), sponsored by the Apache Incubator. Incubation is required of all newly accepted projects until a further review indicates that the infrastructure, communications, and decision making process have stabilized in a manner consistent with other successful ASF projects. Real-time production information is needed to optimize manufacturing activities in a factory, but acquiring this information from isolated proprietary equipment is a manual process that takes time and introduces errors. Connecting equipment to the factory network can make accurate production information immediately available, but widespread interconnection of equipment has been inhibited by the lack of common information models and methods to measure performance and conformance. This project will develop and deploy a measurement science-based performance and conformance testing framework to enable real-time factory floor monitoring and optimization of manufacturing applications.
