Build a large LaTeX book with separate linked chapters
seppdflatex is a Perl script which automates a lot of the tasks needed to compile PDF documents from LaTeX source for a multi-volume book, or a book with many huge chapters which you may not want as a single document, but which should all be unified by cross-references and external hyperlinks, so a PDF reader will open a link to an external chapter PDF file. The Table of Contents and LOF and LOT are made for all chapters, and the TOC, LOF, LOT are all hyperlinked to the correct external PDF chapter files using zr-ref and xr packages from CTAN. But you have to write the correct LaTeX source. The script seppdflatex does the compilation and formatting of Table of Contents and such-like and separates out the chapters as standalone PDF files. ... -

...It’s a system more tuned for colleges and educational institutions as it has been created focusing their needs. In allows the tutors to upload the notes and reading materials on to the website so that the learners can view those reading materials online or if they choose, it lets them download those documents as well. Its a PHP project, so I have posted the source file along with the SQL file, and don't mind the simplicity of the app since this is my college project, not a fully fledged application. But you could improve it if you want, but do include me on thanks or credits, and do notify me if you have used my source.

This a GUI for calling Ghostscript to change PDF versions. If you have older software that needs PDF files in say 1.4 format, but your PDF file is 1.6, this is your answer. Select your file, choose which version and convert it. Requires Gnome 2.22.3 or better*, GTK 2.0 and of course Ghostscript. * I haven't tested on newer version of Gnome. -
