The TESTIMAGES archive is a huge and free collection of sample images designed for analysis and quality assessment of different kinds of displays and image processing techniques. Isogeometric analysis (IGA) is a fundamental step forward in computational mechanics that offers the possibility of integrating methods for analysis into Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools and vice versa. The benefits of such an approach are evident, since the time taken from design to analysis is greatly reduced leading to large savings in cost and time for industry. The tight coupling of CAD and analysis within IGA requires knowledge from both fields and it is one of the goals of the MIGFEM is to provide a simple-to-understand IGA FEM code. HiPS tool is developed at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Shinshu University, which is a tool design and analysis of Petri nets, developed using Microsoft Visual C # and C++. SpeedyQuant is a gel imaging/analysis software that automatically detects and quantifies gel bands (DNA, RNA, protein) in agarose or acrylamid gels. When calculating the relative strength of each band (% of most prominent band) it takes the background noise into account. This leads to accurate and comparable results. Several options can be used to tune the detection process. Here we provide the source code of the program (Perl script) that can be run on any OS with Perl installed (e.g. the freely available Strawberry Perl).
