High-speed, 3D-friendly, TightVNC-compatible remote desktop software
TurboVNC is a high-performance, enterprise-quality version of VNC based on TightVNC, TigerVNC, and X.org. It contains a variant of Tight encoding that is tuned for maximum performance and compression with 3D applications (VirtualGL), video, and other image-intensive workloads. TurboVNC, in combination with VirtualGL, provides a complete solution for remotely displaying 3D applications with interactive performance. TurboVNC's high-speed encoding methods have been adopted by TigerVNC and libvncserver, and TurboVNC is also compatible with any other TightVNC derivative. TurboVNC forked from TightVNC in 2004 and still covers all of the TightVNC 1.3.x features, but TurboVNC contains numerous feature enhancements and bug fixes relative to TightVNC, and it compresses 3D and video workloads much better than TightVNC while using generally only 5-20% of the CPU time of the latter. Using non-default settings, TurboVNC can also be made to compress 2D workloads as "tightly" as TightVNC.
kicad StepUp allows exporting kicad 3D board and comps in STEP AP214
kicad StepUp: a new approach to export kicad board and modules in STEP AP214 (with colors). With kicad StepUp, it is possible to work in kicad EDA with the same component model data available in the STEP AP214 3D format, and obtain a 3D STEP AP214 model of the pcb board and a complete board assembles with electronic modules, to be used for MCAD interchange. The accurate 3D visualization of components on board assembles in kicad 3dviewer, is maintained in the same accuracy and aspect in STEP AP214 format. The kicad StepUp script maintains the usual way to work with kicad, but improves the process to work in a collaborative way with mechanical designers bringing near ECAD and MCAD environments.

AVR simulator IDE
Electronic circuit simulator. Simple environment to run and debug firmware for AVR 8-bit microprocessors. Able to run arduino firmware. Internally this program uses the open source Simavr AVR Processor Simulator (https://github.com/buserror/simavr) and wraps all its functions in a GUI shell. Setups for firmware debugging scenarios can be created dynamically. Able to run 16MHz MCU with decent set of external parts in real time. In particular this can be used for development of CNC firmware in conjuction with its CAM frontend without access to the real hardware. For Linux and Windows systems. Please visit wiki pages (https://sourceforge.net/p/simutron/wiki/Home/) for instructions

A modeling tool for software engineers (OO)
Object Graph Visualizer is a tool primarily meant to be used in CS courses to help new students understand the Object Oriented paradigm and patterns. Classes and objects - that can be part of a software project - are visualised in 3D: The classes stay In the xz-plane in form of an UML class diagram. Directly above in the y-axis objects can be instantiated as an object diagram. Classes can be connected with all sorts of relations (Associations, Compositions, Generalization, etc.), objects with object relations. Following additional functionality is provided: Attributes, Mulitplicities, Roles, Object Graph Mode, Coloring, Save and Load, XMI 1.1 Import from Enterprise Architect, Associations (undirected, directed, bidirected), Aggregations, Compositions, Dependency, Generalization, Multiple Virtual Inheritance (Developer Addendum: It shouldn't be too difficult to add an API for remote application control, e.g. visualize and debug a running programm. See class "ModelViewConnector".)
A canvas library for generating technical drawings
The ADG library (Automatic Drawing Generation) is a set of functions focused on automating the drawing of mechanical parts. It is not a CAD system but a GObject-based library where a custom application can put common CAD entities such as paths, hatches and dimensions, to automatically create technical drawings. A demo application is provided in order to show the capabilities of the canvas. Although it is possible to interact with the library directly in C (that is what the adg-demo program is doing), the canvas is expected to be used from higher level languages, much in the same way as what done in the GNOME stack. Lua bindings based on LGI are already provided out of the box. The adg-lua project, downloadable from the "Files" section, provides Lua programs and demos that leverages these bindings.

The Simple Medical Imaging Library Interface (SMILI), pronounced 'smilie', is an open-source, light-weight and easy-to-use medical imaging viewer and library for all major operating systems. The main sMILX application features for viewing n-D images, vector images, DICOMs, anonymizing, shape analysis and models/surfaces with easy drag and drop functions. It also features a number of standard processing algorithms for smoothing, thresholding, masking etc. images and models, both with graphical user interfaces and/or via the command-line. See our YouTube channel for tutorial videos via the homepage. The applications are all built out of a uniform user-interface framework that provides a very high level (Qt) interface to powerful image processing and scientific visualisation algorithms from the Insight Toolkit (ITK) and Visualisation Toolkit (VTK). The framework allows one to build stand-alone medical imaging applications quickly and easily.

After a few clicks you can see the images coming from your cameras connected through Internet or your LAN. HSPI saves your pictures in various formats: Bitmap, FIT, JPEG, PNG, TIFF are the picture formats supported.
JQM - Java Quine McCluskey for minimization of Boolean functions.
Java Quine McCluskey implements the Quine McCluskey algorithm with Petrick’s Method (or the method of prime implicants) for minimization of Boolean functions. This software can be used both for learning and solving real problems. As learning/teaching tool it presents not only the results, but also how the problem was solved as well as how to use Karnaugh Maps to solve the problem. Up to sixteen functions of sixteen variables can be minimized. A graphical interface is provided for entering and editing the truth table that can be saved and loaded. The results can be exported in HTML format. It generates the Karnaugh Map for educational purpose and the actual truth table from the obtained expressions even when multiple solutions for each function are found. This implementation supports PLC programming, so results can be presented in many forms including Structured Text (ST) and Ladder Diagram (LD) along conventional Boolean expression.
