Fully Managed MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server
Automatic backups, patching, replication, and failover. Focus on your app, not your database.
Cloud SQL handles your database ops end to end, so you can focus on your app.
parastructure is a perl script collection to run the population genetics software STRUCTURE from Pritchard et al. 2000 (http://pritch.bsd.uchicago.edu/structure.html) in parallel on a cluster (beowulf type). Each run of K (the number of populations) is executed separately on each CPU of the cluster trough queue system based on PBS.
A summary statistics table and distruct figures (Noah Rosenberg: http://www.stanford.edu/group/rosenberglab/distruct.html) are built at the end of the run.
A patch for the structure (ran.c) is also provided in order to correct the generation of the seed number.
This Ubuntu GNU/Linux based distribution alaws to automatically build Beowulf clusters either live or installing the software in the frontend. All nodes run diskless. ABC has been published a research paper in the IEEE.
KestrelHPC is a software developed to make life easier to the people that want to have a Diskless Cluster. This Cluster is Multi-User and it has got many tools to configure your cluster. This software can be installed in a Debian or Ubuntu.
The project is intended to create a Beowulfcluster using Virtual machines. The application can be used to calibrate and estimate the hardware required to create a BeowulfCluster.
Linux Cluster Manager is designed as a beowulfcluster setup and management tool. LCM can run bulk commands, give real time performance and status monitoring, search running processes, and provide system imaging at a file or block level over the network
BDR (Beowulf Design Rules) is a vendor-neutral software tool that quickly evaluates millions of alternative architectures to determine the best cluster hardware design for your application requirements and budget (e.g., money, space, power consumption).
Biolet is project aimed to analyze genomic DNA sequences using wavelets. Of additional interest may be a batch processing tool for doing round-robin scheduling of jobs on a beowulfcluster. For that checkout the project robin from the CVS.
Valkyries is a parallel programming project designed for and developed on a Beowulfcluster to crack several UNIX systems' passwords by brute-force. Currently implemented system cracks only numerical passwords but it's being developed.
sharq is a batch-queueing system that allows for multiple users to make effective use of a beowulfcluster. sharq allows for prioritization based on a user's funding, and also based on the size of the job. sharq is very light-weight and easy to learn.
The cplusql distributed ETL tool extracts and transforms row based data from
databases and flat files for terabyte scale datawarehouse loading. RSN: beowulf job queueing and cluster fs! Every day at LookSmart, it translates 200+mm rows on 100+ nodes.
dsh is a program which runs a single command on multiple computers at the same time. It was designed as a cluster tool for beowulf-style supercomputers.
Scalable Cluster Environment (SCE) is a set of interoperable opensource tools that enable users to build and use Beowulfcluster effectively to solve their problems.
NAIS is a free, non-interactive, network automated installation system to install the Debian GNU/Linux operating system on a Beowulfcluster or to automatically setup a cluster of workstations.
