A loudspeaker phase linearization, EQ and filtering tool
rePhase is a FIR generation tool for building fully linear-phase active crossovers with arbitrary slopes. It also let you manually compensate for the phase shifts of your loudspeakers and existing crossovers, be it active or passive. Once generated, the FIR can be applied using any hardware (openDRC, miniSHARC, Najda, ...) or software (foobar, convolver, JRiver, ...), stereo or multi-way convolution engine. MIDI software to play tones from the "overtone series"
The Twonker is a MIDI Plugin that allows a digital piano (or any MIDI instrument) to play tones from the Overtone Series. It is designed to run within most Digital Audio Workstations as a Synth Plugin on Windows, MacOS, and Linux (although precompiled binaries are not yet available for MacOS). When a length of string (or a column of air) is made to vibrate it produces a pitch. This initial pitch is called the Fundamental. While the string is vibrating at the Fundamental frequency, the string simultaneously vibrates at many other frequencies as well. The pattern of frequencies is always the same and is based on the frequency of the Fundamental itself. The Twonker allows a musician to play overtones in a predictable and flexible manner, using a regular MIDI-based keyboard. In essence, it behaves like twelve different pianos tuned to twelve different Overtone Scales (also called "Just Scales").

Tool to keep duplicates of directory trees continually in sync
Continual Sync is a tool to synchronise one directory tree with another, with rsync, using the inotify mechanism to keep the copy constantly up to date very efficiently by making rsync do as little work as possible. It can be used to mirror directories between machines asynchronously, for instance backing up your local files to an off-site file server. The continual-sync tool is intended to be used in the background - set up once and forgotten about. For example, it can be used to back up hundreds of Linux desktops to a central server with no user interaction, and with changes appearing on the central server within minutes of the originals being changed on the desktop. The package also includes the "watchdir" utility, which writes change notification files when the contents of a directory are altered. See the project home page for more information.
Graphics generator for pie diagram matrix from spreadsheets
For comparative plus/minus spreadsheet data, Coulson Plot Generator application creates a multiple pie diagram, for a rapid visual comparison of subunit occupancy across a range of entities. Numbers of pies, segments, labels and colours are customisable. Creates an editable PDF from a comma separated text file. Now with zoom capability and more memory, for larger datasets. Save images in several formats including SVG.
Differential activE sub-Network (DEN): R/Bioconductor based package
Living cells are complex, dynamic, self-regulatory, interactive systems, showing differential states across time and space. Complexity of cellular systems is highlighted with the multi-layered regulatory mechanisms involving the interactions between bio-molecules (such as DNA, RNA, mi-RNA and proteins). These interactions are analyzed in the form of static networks. Likewise, number of experimental techniques like microarray, RNASeq allows quantification of cellular dynamics and aid in discerning differential gene expression across diverse conditions. Computational biology is in need of methods for integration of static networks and gene expression data, since it provides interesting insights into the dynamics of biological systems. DEN is an R/Bioconductor based package designed to assemble different types of human bio-molecular interactions as a complete interactome and contains functions to extract dynamic active networks by integration of gene expression data.
FS-Inspect is an easy to use tool designed to give you an overview about your files and directories (Disk Usage). On start up, it reads recursively the inspected directory and presents the content in two useful views: * The folder view, shows the directory tree, sub-folders are sorted by size. * The type view, shows all file types found, sorted by the total size. In the post scan, the utility start searching for duplicates. All duplicates are listed in the file view, colored depending on their MD5-checksum. It is possible to configure the duplicate search in the settings. To optimize the duplicate search, hashes are stored in a database. If a directory is inspected many a time, there is no need to compute the performance-expensive check-sum again.
