BRIEF was a powerful programmers text editor released first by Underwear (1986-1988) and later (1991/1992) by Borland. This project is a BRIEF v3.1 Emulation (with patches) For JED. When I moved to linux, first I patched jove (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JOVE), jove did the work for long time but jove does not support UTF8, so the last few years I use JED.
