WebApps/Apps for aircraft performance. POH Performance computes all the useful performance numbers for flight planning for the Socata TBM, the Beechcraft Baron and Bonanza, and the Cessna 172 aircraft. It includes calculations for takeoff, landing, climb, cruise, descent, instrument procedures as well as emergencies. It also includes an interactive hold calculator, a risk analysis tool, and an emergency glide distance calculator that handles head and tailwinds. POH Performance is also available on other mobile devices and as a WebApp (an App that runs in a browser) that runs on a variety of platforms (PC, Mac, tablets, phones). The cloud sync feature allows flight planning profiles entered on any device to be synchronized with your other devices when connected to the Internet. POH Performance is a free, open-source development effort.
Real-time interactive 3D graphics API for scientific simulations
OpenFrames is an Application Programming Interface (API) that provides the ability to add interactive 3D graphics to any scientific simulation. A simulation developer can use OpenFrames to specify what they want to visualize, without having to know any details of computer graphics programming. Visualizations created using OpenFrames are cross-platform, hardware accelerated with OpenGL, and designed specifically to minimize computational overhead. They can be embedded within an existing GUI framework (e.g. Qt, wxWidgets, Winteracter) or created in independent OS-native windows. The OpenFrames API itself is written in C++, and bindings are available for C and Fortran.

It supports 2D and 3D clipping, scaling and transparent overlay of video, png graphics and text. It supports animation of video, images and texts through native commands changing scale, placement, transparency and rotation. Animation and actions can also be controlled through native scripting and an embedded Tcl interpreter. Snowmix is designed for control over low bandwidth links and can work as a standalone CLI based program. Control over both CLI and a TCP connections. Input and outputs can be done through GStreamer pipelines or the GStreamer shmsrc/shmsink API. OS X on Intel and Linux on amd64/i386/i686/ARMv7 and FreeBSD on amd64 supported. Stencil for Omnigraffle drawing tool (Mac & iPad) to enable architecture description views to be created for the TRAK Enterprise Architecture Framework (available on Sourceforge via the trak, trakmetamodel and trakviewpoints projects). Provides the set of shapes and connectors needed to create TRAK views to describe the enterprise, concepts, systems and how they're procured. Using the stencil in conjunction with the defining TRAK documents you can be up and creating architecture description in minutes. When used with OmniGraffle Pro it also provides the attributes for each object to capture extra information. When used on the iPad and with OmniGraffle on the Mac this information is preserved. Construct2D is a grid generator designed to create 2D grids for CFD computations on airfoils. The grids are generated in Plot3D format. The only required input file is the set of coordinates defining the airfoil geometry, using the same format as XFoil, the popular vortex-panel code for airfoil analysis. Construct2D can create grids with O topology (recommended for airfoils with a blunt trailing edge) or C topology (recommended for airfoils with a sharp trailing edge). Now available in version 2.0: hyperbolic grid generation to create higher quality grids in a fraction of the time compared to elliptic grid generation. Elliptic grid generation is still available also. Smooth airfoil surface spacing is handled automatically with user-controlled clustering parameters. Also included is a visualizer written in Python with matplotlib.

Its primary purpose is to support design and validation of attitude control systems, from concept studies through integration and test. 42 accurately models multi-body spacecraft attitude dynamics (with rigid and/or flexible bodies), and both two-body and three-body orbital flight regimes, modelling environments from low Earth orbit to throughout the solar system. 42 simulates multiple spacecraft concurrently, facilitating studies of rendezvous, proximity operations, and precision formation flying.
