  • Prefix WhoIs Milter

Mail filter shows Originating IP address info in mail header

The Prefix WhoIs milter queries Prefix WhoIs (whois.pwhois.org by default) about the originating IP address found in the final Received or X-Originating-IP mail headers. The information that it returns may be used for greylisting, but more importantly it can be displayed in modern e-mail clients to provide some background as to the origin of the message, such as the name and location (city, country, network) of the Internet service provider originating the message. The Prefix WhoIs milter appends e-mail headers of the form X-PWhois-Field-Name corresponding to a field in the response from Prefix WhoIs. Currently, it inserts information from the Origin-AS, AS-Org-Name, Org-Name, Net-Name, Region, Country and Country-Code Prefix WhoIs response fields. The Prefix WhoIs milter implements a safety timeout in case of a network or Prefix WhoIs outage; if the timeout period elapses, the message passes through unaltered and without further delay. Safe to run in high-volume environments.

  • Homer Conferencing Icon

    Homer Conferencing

Homer is a free cross-platform SIP softphone with video support.

Homer is a free cross-platform SIP softphone with video support. The Homer software is able to communicate in peer-to-peer mode without any infra- structure. But it also supports SIP servers (PBX boxes) as well. The amount of participants per live video conferences is not limited by the software. Besides the conference functions, Homer can also be used for video/audio streaming, recording and screencasting. Video as well as audio data from files or hardware devices can be streamed to every conference participant individually. Additionally, video/audio streams can be started as separate unicast transmissions to any host in the local network or the Internet with quality settings ranging from very low to very high (HDTV). Such streams can be received by Homer and can again be recorded to disc and made available for offline playback. Source code: https://github.com/Homer-Conferencing/Homer-Conferencing

  • TEACUP Icon

    TEACUP

TCP Experiment Automation Controlled Using Python

TEACUP automates many aspects of running TCP performance experiments in a specially-constructed physical testbed. TEACUP enables repeatable testing of different TCP algorithms over a range of emulated network path conditions, bottleneck rate limits and bottleneck queuing disciplines. TEACUP utilises a text-based configuration file to define experiments as combinations of parameters specifying desired network path and end host conditions. When multiple values are provided (e.g. for TCP congestion control algorithm), an experiment is made up of multiple tests. For each experiment and test, TEACUP collects a range of data, such as tcpdump files of traffic seen or TCP stack information (e.g. using Web10G). TEACUP also collects a variety of metadata from the end hosts and bottleneck router, such as the actual OS/kernel version(s) used. TEACUP also provides some simple tools for analysing the results of experiments, such as plotting a flow's experienced RTT over time.
